Transfer of ownership Lahore no.in RWP

just bought a used car in islamabad ,lahore no. . i would like to transfer it in my name , would it be possible to get it done within Islamabad or RWP or do i have to go to lahore , and how much will it cost .. the car is honda 2006 exi 1489 cc.and i do need no plates as well ...i met an agent he is charing much more then my expectation and says its only possible from lahore ,,,so can i get an exact figure from any of you to conform it ,thank you ,please do reply .

also based on my calulation the token tax amount is 11200 ,,the care is 2006 exi honda .is my calculation correct ?

Brother I would sincerely suggest to go to Excise Office, Lahore directly, and get everything done by your own self. Do not involve any agent, etc. In all this.

If biometric verification, physical presence of current owner, etc. Is compulsory and mandatory, then also manage to have current vehicle owner with you too, when you visit the office. Request him to spare some time and accompany you to office, and have all the docs, book, card, etc. Ready and with you.

Do ask for No. Plates too! (From the current owner as well as Excise Office)

yes but is it not possible to get it done from RWP excise office . i live in kashmir so lahore trip is very long ....?

Bro I am not sure, but I think, you can't get it transferred from Rawalpindi.

And, it's always better and advisable to always buy the vehicle from the city where you live (or the nearest city) with registration no. Also from the same city. If you buy from some far away city, having registration from some further far away city; then such issues arise.

You can also contact excise office Rawalpindi and Lahore via telephone numbers, and ask for some details. I believe, their contact nos. Are easily available on internet.

You can get vehicle transfered without the previous owner.
You'll need his ID copy and a sale agreement, plus file of the vehicle.
Sale agreement is like a stamp paper of RS. 500 having details of you and previous owner and your agrrement etc. (Sale aggreemnment needs your and the owner's thumb impression)
And then you have to submit it at excise office to get it transferred.

Yes brokers can do it for you but don't go that route.
And for tranfer charges, check excise punjab's website.

Hi, neither i had any such experience nor i know anything likewise. But excise Rawalpindi should be able to do so because Rawalpindi falls under punjab.
