Transmission fluid for W210 722.6

Assalamo alaikum brothers. need help in deciding which ATF fluid to use in my E200 W210. actually i am looking for equivalents for 236.10. can anyone help me?

The closest fluid today to the 236.10 formulation woukd be the transynd tes295

Its a 100% synth classIV trans fluid with dexron 3G properties and cannot break down, problem is its price, it retails for usd 75 a gallon.

Another usable oil is chrysler atf +4 its great, has some extra shift feel which i love to be honest. Just change it every 50,000 kms. And you will need to bear the smell of it while changing fluid. Its quite lower in cost compared to transynd.

With atf+4 the shifts are more pronounced and aggressive like they should be.

Make sure your valvebody is good, like the shift overlap valves are sealing good etc.

Assalam o alaikum. I'm very thankful to you brother you gave me reply. I wanna ask you another question about my honda 2004 vti. The problem is it throughs fault code p1361 08-02 TDC sensor 1 (noise). But it does nothing sometimes and sometimes it shuts off randomly and then starts after few minutes. The question is what to do to fix this problem. Secondly can you tell me the difference between TDC sensor 1 ( no pulse ) and ( noise). I'm very depressed because of this problem. Kindly guide me how to fix this issue. Should i need to replace cam sensor or crank sensor or both. What do you suggest.

This code is usually a faulty connection or a faulty cam or crank sensor, you can tone out which one is generating noisy signals to the ECU with an oscope - make sure the tone wheels are not caked in metallic debris as it can also disturb the waveform being generated.

The usual fix is to first clean the connectors then identify if the fault exists, if it does then narrow it down to temperature or other parameters while checking the waveforms. If you cannot do that, then the best shot would be to swap both out and retest.

I thought you were going to do it yourself and you were a mechanic or something, Oscope means digital storage oscilloscope, and temperature variance means to check if the hall effect sensor is failing at higher temperature. (The cam and crank sensors are hall effect sensors)

If you need guidance on this step 1/A then best get some professional help.

Yes i am a mechanic. But as i am in pakistan, here not everyone knows about oscilloscope and haul effect sensors. I also didn't know about that. But when you said oscilloscope i googled it and found oh yeah this is a professional tool. But i don't know how to use it. The car runs fine, starts quickly but after some drive it just randomly shuts off. Since i don't have a scanner i went to an electrician and he did nothing but turned my check engine light permanently offf. I became angry and now i have decided to fix it by my own. So I'm just seeking some help. So, can you please conclude the topic that what should i do? Check my connectors and if they are in good and strong shape then replace both the cam and crank sensors? Is it the right way? I'm 21 years old and i have started my own workshop. I'm trying to make a career in this field.

If you have started a workshop, all this should be easy work for you.

And i would suggest to invest in an oscope and start making a repository of good wave forms of different cars you will encounter,

Btw, if you have a workshop why did you visit a mechanic to fix your own car?

No actually I'm into mechanical section. In pakistan generally if someone is a mechanic then he is not an electrician. These are two different sections in pakistan. But now I have decided that I'll do both mechanical work and electrical work. So now the car will arrive tomorrow. I'm gonna fix that issue by myself without any electrician's aid. But i find you very knowledgeable and i think that before doing anything it's better to take advice from someone who knows what to do. It saves alot of time. So the method i wrote in my previous reply to fix this issue is right? Or i would need an oscope. Can we fix it without oscope for timebeing. @Xulfiqar
