Has anyone used Transworld internet in the DHA Lahore Area yet?
What are your comments on the service?

I'm thinking of getting it if they deliver good speeds.

Met a friend yesterday who has already ordered it and he says they take 10 days for installation and during that time they bring a fiber cable direct to your home (new fiber cable installed by them)

Kindly attach speed test results if someone is using it.

Yes but using it in Islamabad (DHA). Have the 50mbps package.

No downtime so far. Have had it for over a month now.

What are you paying for 50 mbps? Did you opt for installment package? Do they charge WHT and Service Taxes as well?

No services tax as its not applicable in ICT, there is 12.5% advance tax however so I am paying Rs.4,500.

Didn't opt for instalment package.

Just got off the phone with Transworld.
Sick of PTCL so ordered the 20MB package. Lets see how this pans out.

Here are the rates that I've been told

20 MB Package = 2000 Rs / Month + Tax
One Time Payment of 12,000 Rs + Tax

The One Time Payment can be given in Installments with monthly bills of 6 or 12 months (your choice)

Upon inquiring about Total Bill amount after Tax this is what I was told

20 MB = 2689 Rs
One Time Payment with Taxes = 13920 Rs.

Excited to be free of PTCL and praying for better Internet

Update *

So after placing order ....received a phone call from their rep who within a few hours dropped by with papers etc.

They have taken 16609 Rs in total.

This is its breakdown.

One payment of 5609 Rs and the other 11000 Rs.

5609 Rs breakdown as follows.

20 Mbps Package
Monthly Line rent = 2000 Rs
Punjab Sale Tax = 390 Rs @ 19.50%
Advance Tax = 299 Rs @ 12.50%
Total Tax = 689 Rs
Total Payment per Month = 2689 Rs

One Time Installation Charges (OTC) = 1000 Rs
Taxes = 1920 Rs
Total OTC Charges = 2920 Rs

Total OTC Charges + Total Payment per Month = 2689 + 2920
= 5609 Rs

Now the 11,000 Rs is a security deposit cheque which will be returned to me after 1 year.

The service will be installed in under 15 days or so I've been told.

Will update with speed test pics as soon as I get it.

Team came today an hour before Jumma and installed it just in time for Jumma Prayers..
been working flawlessly so far.

I got rid of wateen and got the 30mb plan 2 weeks ago. So the real deal is not the download speeds of 30, 50 or 100 mb, It's the upload speed that matters to me.

Now I have awesome video calls and upload and sync my data on the cloud in few mins while it would take days on PTCL or wateen.

Because getting good download speed does not mean good browsing...??
