Travel advice for Interior Sindh

Hello everyone. I am travelling by road this weekend to Islamabad through interior sindh (Karachi to Sukkur n then Motorway ahead). Need your advice regarding safety issues (both on N-5 and N-55) in the light of recent clashes of few political parties over the issue of Bahria Town. Specifically speaking, it is being heard/rumoured that CNICs of travellers are being checked while travelling through interior sindh. Is that so and is it safe to travel by the end of this week. Please advise. Thanks in advance.

Dharna was on sunday i travelled from Hyderabad to Karachi yesterday and it was all clear and its always advised to keep ur Cnin with u when travelling tht much
One advice would b to leave highway from hyderabad and take amri to qazi ahmed route then sukkur because from hyderabad to qazi ahmed highway is full of traffic and roads are not maintained either

Thanks for your response.. By "CNIC getting checked" I meant it to be done by some politically affiliated persons to identify the people on the basis of lingsuitics.. and not by the law enforcement agencies.. Did you happen to know anything on it?? Secondly, you advise N-55 and not N-5 because Aamri is on N-55??

there is a video going viral by a Dr. Affan Qaiser he was stopped by Motorway police around GHOTKI area 2 days ago. He got suspicious the way they acted, and he fled. ironically it was a DEAD AREA ( for cell signals ) he made video and sent over groups within 20 minutes. after reaching a rest area.

This was 10th case to my knowledge in which people get stopped in NON_Coverage stretch of Motorway in SINDH and asked to step outside which is against the SOP of NHMP.

I believe he posted it on facebook as well.

Once again SINDH is going rowdy out of control Thank you 18th Amendment.

Dear All,

In view of above any further update/advise as we intend to travel to Karachi in few days... I was regular traveler of this route and done unlimited times on both ways but never heard such type of incidents before.

I travelled fro Karachi to islamabad 2 days back. Left Karachi early morning, no issue faced in Sindh, all is good. Took N55 from hyderabad to amri and then connected back to N5 at qazi Ahmed. Few patches on N5 and N55 are under construction but overall its fine.

Hi Fahad. Thanks for your advice. I travelled this Friday to Multan via M9-N55-N5-M5 route and faced absolutely no difficulties or any security issues whatsoever. Your post about your travelling through N55 just 2 days back gave me some confidence to take that route!!!

I came back yesterday with family from Lahore... Alhamdulillah all good.... No issues at all.... I took N5 all the way.....
