Travel inside Kashmir with Public Transport

Hi All,

Is it wise/cheap to travel inside Azad Kashmir by Public Transport like Taxi etc, or I have to book a car or high roof to travel for 2 Days in places like Kutton, Keraan, Sharda, Pir Chanasi, Neelam Valley etc.

Just keep in mind I want to save money as much as possible

It's safe an less expensive to travel in public transport but not recommended for families.

Or wait for some expert opinion, I don't have much knowledge about public transport in AJK.

Also please mention that if you like to travel with family?

It will be much economical to use public transport. Public transport is available widely in Neelum valley (keran sharda, taobutt) and connecting big cities. However off-route places like Pir Chinasi, you have to hire taxi. (If you are a group of 3,4 people, then it will also cost effective).

Kutton is a in a side valley, you have to drop at Kundal Shahi from Bus. (Not sure about public transport b/w kundal shahi and kutton)

From muzafrabad to kel "rocketbus" charges 400 per head this is the last point of 2x2...
kel to toubat local jeep charge u 250 per head otherwise hire a jeep round trip 5000

i think u should read a thread by @ranasherdil for economical tour to neelam...

if u r with family then hire a jeep from muzaffrabad max 2000-2200 per day jeep waly ko dyna 7000 ka disel lagy ga for neelam...
