Traveled from Lahore to Naran & mid of Babusar top on Japanese Wagon R.
Started journey from Monday 6am on 7th july 2018.
Reached at Abbotabad at around 2pm. Then after booking room in abbotabad @Rs.3000 per night , the River Haronai & Abbasia mosque was visited. Spent a night in Abbotabad. Then Traveled to Naran at 7am to avoid traffic density.
Reached Naran at around 2pm. Spent a night there. Next day travelled till mid of Babusar top track. Then turned back to Naran & visited Jheel Saifal Malook on jeep. Spent another night in Naran.(2 Nights)
Then back to Shogran. Parked the Wagon R at bottom of shogran. Hire the jeeps n visited shogran.
Reached Rawalpindi Hotel near stadium @ Rs. 1500 per night. spent two nights here n visited Imam Bari, Gulra Shareef, Faisal Mosque n Monal. Then next day back to Lahore.
Total expenses per person was Rs. 13500/ (5 members) Due to very expensive restaurant dine ins.

Where did you stay at naran and what was the rent

A very calm and reasonably paced trip. How did the Wagon R perform? Motorway? Mountains?

Try to stay behind the main road in street where hotels are economical. It was Faisal hotel behind the Punjab tikka. Costed Rs. 2500 per night per double bed room. It was not weekend. Park the vehicle at open parking behind the Punjab Tikka.

Wagon R performed good. But keep the ac off while mounting up. Motorway was constructed till abbotabad Maqsood interchange. Avg. Speed throughout the journey on motorway was 120.use Low "L" gear while decelerating down from heights. As it's 660cc vehicle therefore pick up was slightly low while mounting up. Any vehicle which could climb up the Monal Islamabad could easily go till Naran or even far than Naran.

Yes hotel was good for family & jeep cost for jheel saifal Malook was Rs. 2200 & for Shogran it was Rs. 2500.

Fuel cost from Lahore to Naran then back to Lahore was about Rs. 10,000.
