Please advise how safe is to drive at night from Karachi to Lahore.

It is safe. Done that quite few times.
But as a precaution, pass Sindh in day time. Night driving in Punjab is considered relatively safer.
Road from Hala to Ghotki is in very bad shape. A lot of diversions would force you to cover a mere distance of 350 KMs in 8 to 9 hours approximately.

From sakrand turn right towards nawabshah and take Bandhi turn. It will take u to Khairpur. Road is fine and will save time.
Aqeel Bhai what about if I take N55 ? is it safe as family is with me.
I will leave Karachi at 11:00PM and my destination is RYK
A big NO.Take N5 and also don't exit from sakrand as suggested before as you be travelling very late on that patch which is risky.
Dont travel in night please...
It is safe to take the Pakka Chang road from Sakrand. N55 is not recommended !!! Also, be it N5 or anyother road, night traveling is a bad idea.
Never travel during night specially in Sindh. Plan you departure early in the morning from Karachi.
