Traveling to Islamabad from karachi– Concerned About Tinted Windows, Any Issues?

Hello everyone,

I’m planning to travel from Karachi to Islamabad by car, and I need some honest guidance regarding vehicle window tints.
My car currently has 50% tint on the front windows and 100% tint on the rear and side windows.

In Karachi, I usually don’t face much trouble due to some government sources that help me through traffic police check posts. However, I’ve never driven with this setup in Islamabad, so I’m unsure how strict the traffic police are over there.

I’m thinking of removing the front windscreen tint before entering Islamabad, but leaving the rest of the tints as they are.
Can anyone tell me:
• Will this still be a problem in Islamabad?
• Are the police strict about any level of tints, even on rear windows?
• Do they fine immediately or just remove the tints on the spot?
• And finally, do “sources” work there like in Karachi, or are they strict regardless?

I’ll be traveling with my family, so I’d really appreciate any helpful advice or personal experiences.

I all depends on your luck and the mood of the police guy. I personally hate tints.

front & rear screen tint ??

rest assured your car will end in impound anywhere in limits of RWP & ISB., no matter which color plate it has, - Other then designated RED (for diplomats) & BLUE (for UN)

clean out front & rear screen. It shall be see through from front to rear, before you exit and comfort zone of 'references' ends.

Motorway police will may spare you if family onboard. But Not anywhere in limits of ISB / RWP
