Trend of converting or facelift old model landcruiser into latest model

Recently, there are many ads on youtube and social media about converting old land cruiser (2000 model onwards) to latest model, is it reliable option and what are pros nd cons. Apparently, these cars look good with almost all parts changed. Please share your views and experience

All modifications of this are cosmetic, so your question of reliability is invalid.

However, i dont understand this trend. Because for the people who actually give a crap about models and body styles will immediately know that the vehicle is fake.

And the others who cannot identify between them, literally dont give a hoot.

So who are the owners trying to showoff to? Or are new owners so shallow that they will also wear fake rolex and assume its real?
