I was too having image that Peshawar was dangerous city and we shoudn’t go there, unstability, etc. etc.
But I dared to go there last week and stayed in Hotel Grand (as your posted picture).
I visited University Road, G.T. Road, Hayatabad, DHA, Islamia University, Namak Mandi, Peshawar Museum, Jamrood and Karkhano Market. All travelled alongwith my family.
Its beautiful city and just like Lahore.
Because Peshawar has Walled City (Lahore also have).
They have area Shadra, we also have.
Similarly, Model Town, DHA, etc. etc. So I just found it same like Lahore.
The university road is the most modern one. All brand shops are there. Gul Ahmed, Al-Karam, Nishat Linen, Dunk-in-Doungnets, Usmania Restaurant, Gourmet restaurant, Beauty shoes, Ice-Cream shops, KFC, etc. etc. So its just like Lahore.
Moreover there are not so many signals. Very easy & big U-turns on roads. And it makes us totally flexible to visit there with my family for couple of days.
In namak mandi, we ate Dunba Karahi and Charsi Tikka. Both taste awesome.
I will go there again to explore more.
Only bad thing about Peshawar is that they don’t have Hi-Octane. Only one PSO Pump in DHL Phase-5 has it. But CNG is available without staying in any long ques like Lahore.
