Hey Friend,
Allhumdulilah we have completed our Tour Of Naran to Nathia Gali and Islamabad. I am writing the detail Journey with Cost Sheet. May be it will help you guys.
1st August 14 Day 1st: Travelling from PTDC Bus to Naran
We started our journey from PTDC Bus at 9 AM. It Cost 1500 per Head. The Coaster was good. It was 4th day of Eid. There was massive traffic Jam Near Shogran. Usually it took 9 hour to reach Naran but we reached Naran at 8 PM.
We had selected Naran Youth Hostel. Better to reach in day light because the hostel is up on the hill and it is very difficult to identify the location. There was no light in the hostel so it was dark. But they do have generator, only you have to provide them petrol. During Eid days and Season, there was shortage of Petrol in Naran. We bought petrol after two days when our cellphone batteries were died. Petrol was available @ 200 per Liter.
It was good experience in the hostel because for a store kind of room hotels were asking 9 to 12 K and Naran was fully jampacked Whereas, the Hostel charged us 300 per head.
(Moral: Do not travel during eid and session)
Day 2nd: Jheel Saful Malook
On the second day, We had breakfast at Naran Bazar ( Hostel was 2 KM away from Naran Bazar). Jeep rate were very high they were asking 3500 for one side. Naran was very crowdy at that time. We decided to do hiking. It took 4.5 hour to reach the top. We were at Jheel around 2 Pm. It was lil cold, we had camp with us. We stayed at lake for 2 hours. Cooked some food and tea. Jheel is around 8 KM from Naran. We decided to go back via jeep. We shared jeep with a family and it cost us 2000.
There was an incident which boost our moral. When we were coming back. We found 8 years old boy who lost his parent in crowd. Local and jeep driver asked us to handover the boy to them and they will find their parents but we took the ownership. We went straight down to the end of the road and stopped every jheep and check their parents. After one and half hour effort we found the parents of the boy?
Day 3rd: Lulusar Lake, Pyala Lake & Babusar top
After Breakfast from Naran Bazar. We hired a Jeep for Babusar top for 7000 Rs. Naran was empty today as it is Sunday and most of the people went back after Eid vaccation. It is very lovely place. We took stop at Lulusar Lake, Pyala Lake. There was a snow fall at Babusar top for 5 mints. It was quite cold there.
Day 4th: Naran to Abbotabad:
There was shortage of vehicle in Naran that day. We hired a Corrolla Xli for 3000. We reached Youth Hostel Abbottabad and Stay there for one day.
Day 5th: Abbottabad to Khanispur:
We hired a Carry from Abbottabad for 2500 to reach Khanispur. Again we have a plan to stay at Youth Hostel Khanispur is close to Ayubia.
The hostel is very nice and surrounded by long trees. It was lil scary first day as there was no people but next day there is a lot university and family came.
Day 6th: Visit Ayubia, Pipe Line Trek from Ayubia to Dunga Gali 4 Km:
Khanispur is 3km from Ayubai. We visited Ayubai. We had done Pipe Line Trek which is 4Km very smooth, not a tiring one. The main purpose to explore how to reach Dunga gali? Because we have plan to do hiking of Muskpuri next day which start from Dunga gali.
Day 7th: Mushkpuri Hiking:
We took public transport from Khanispur to Kuza gali then Kuza Gali tu Dunga gali. Then we had started hiking of mushkpuri. It was nice weather. It was very cold at the top, cool winds were blowing. We camped there had some food and tea and come back.
We done Pipe Line trek again to reach Ayubia then walk to Khanispur. It was hell hiring day coz we covered 15 to 18 Km.
Day 8th: Khanispur to Rawalpindi
We hired a Suzuki for 1400 to reach Rawalpinid. Our train is at 2 am. We hired a Corrolla xli for 2500 and start exploring Islamabad. We went to Faisal Mosque, Daman e Kho and finally dinner at Monal.
The City condition was not good due to Azadi March. There was long queue for Petrol at pump. We left Islamabad and reached Rawalpindi well before the time at 11 pm.
The train was half our late and we reached Karachi Safely.
