Dear Mehroz
My trip started at 5 am in the morning, super highway is under construction so it took around 3.5 hours to reach Hyderabad. During this you will find well constructed Motorway in between but some patches are bumpy. I didn't stop at Hyderabad & continued my journey to Sukkur non-stop. In between I stopped at Morro for about half hour to give rest to car & stretch my legs n arms.
Around 2 pm I was at Sukkur. I took N5 which is good and you can drive at 90-100 km/hr speed on it. Distance is around 456 Kms. In between you will find many Shell Gas Stations. At Sukkur I stayed at Air force Mess arranged by my Brother in law. However, you may stay at Decent Guest House which is around Rs 2500 per night with all facilities.
I didn't travel at night to avoid any sort of mishap. The next day i left again in the morning around 5:30 am for Multan. I continued travelling on N5 and drove till Bahawalpur. There I stopped at Pakistan Restaurant with a Caltex Gas Station. Restaurant is good & a better place to stop by for an hour. I again continued and reached Multan around 5:30 pm by crossing Lodhran. Roads are good so you'll enjoy driving. At Multan I again stayed at PAF Mess. You may choose guest house & hotels like Sheza Inn.
I stayed for 2 days at Multan for sightseeing. Visited shrines of Bahauddin Zikariya & Shah Rukn e Alam. Went to Ramada for Lunch & Bundu Khan for dinner. If you have some time also visit Billy da Dera it's an amazing restaurant with tasty food.
I got my car serviced and checked by a Shell gas station nearby in Multan.
From Multan, I left again in the morning and took N5 till Kabirwala. From there I diverted my route and continued driving on the road to Shorkot & Jhang. From Jhang to Gojra and then straight to Motorway M-4. I had never been on Motorway so for that I took this route which is a bit long but worth it because driving on Motorway is amazing. From M-4 I took M-2 to reach Lahore. Speed limit is 120 km/hr & trust me you won't realize that your car is moving at such high speed. It's damn smooth. In between you will find many Stop by places which are good to relax, eat & munch.
Keep your car mobile charger & a holder & follow Google maps. It's the best way to find ways. I never regretted following it. Prefer to refuel by Shell gas stations. Keep checking your tyres wherever possible. Get your oil & plugs change before leaving.
I'm attaching a picture of my whole journey. In Punjab you will find superb roads & motorways.
I visited Islamabad, Peshawar, Kohat, Rawalpindi, Murree, Lower Topa etc also. On my way back from Multan To Sukkur I changed my route and instead of taking N5 I took N55 just to explore more cities & places. But near Kashmore police gave me a hard time. I was with family but still they were misbehaving & was asking for money out of no reason. I had every document with me but still they were keeping my book, my license & my documents with them and were demanding Rs 5000/- and left us after taking Rs 1000/- in the end. My mother got really scared of that. So pls avoid that and travel on N5. Other than that everything went amazingly well even beyond my expectations.
Advice: DRIVE CAREFULLY & FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS GIVEN ON SIGNBOARDS.
If you have any other questions in mind pls ask. I wish you best of luck & have a safe journey.
