Trip to Bahawalpur, Derawar, Multan

Though i don't want to disturb the actual plan but .....

PW explorers are going together so something new should be discovered and introduced on the forums

Sadiqabad Lakes would be far as u will be based in Bahawalpur otherwise that would be something very unique experience

In ghantaghar, multani chanp stall in front of multan kitab ghar is the oldest and famous as well. The sohan halwa market is behind the civil hospital going from fawara chowk to muslim high school. There are a couple of good halwa shops in Multan cantt main bazar also. You can also try qulfi near muslim high school or Baba ice cream near nawan shehr chowk.

If you want to be more adventurous then try fried fish or chicken piece at sheedan mushtaq in kotla tolay khan. The shop on the right coming from ghanta ghar is the authentic sheedan.

Try gol gappas in multan cantt. try Rizwan near shangrilla chinese. Breakfast here is the usual halwa puri, channay, nihari and paye etc. The better places again are near ghanta ghar. But I'm not very well informed about good breakfast places. If you like I can contact some of my friends in Multan to get the updated information.

latest update is that one of darbar or gulzar mehal is now a div hq of army so that os no chance to c it. i recon its darbar mehal as it was the largest. i have seen all these mahals is 2006 with army permission.

best route from bahalpur to derawar is via ahmed pur east.....

sir g lal suhanra tu khali ho gai hai ab logon nay saray animals mardalay ya bech diay (pakis hain na corupt tu hongay he)......

so i suggest u dont visit this park

Trying to get army permission but no luck yet.

Lal sohanra park is on the cards as I haven't recieved such a news about the animanls. So not skipping it at the moment.

If u r BBQ lover then u can check TANDU ADAM CHARGHA HOUSE just before KFC. Chiken chargha and chicken seikh kabab are their special foods.

Iffoo paa g, hamay do he shok hay. Khana peena or ghoomna phirna. It would be quite greatful of you to let us have the taste of halwa from layyah.

Will definitely try to try your recommended food items. Hopefully you will be with us. Presently multani chaamps are on the hit list;)

You are right! it's Army Div HQ now. But one can still visit if has some reference in Army. I managed to visit last year and would recommend going there. BOL and have lots of fun

Agar ghar khair-o-afiyat se aana hai to then do buy something for the HOME MINISTER . Bahawalpuri khusa doesn't sound a good option :P. Aisa na ho keh ........................... Baaqi tusi samajhdaar oh

On serious note, Would recommend buying famous Bahawalpuri Chunri.

Sir g khali khussay say kaam nahi chalna. Kuch or bhi Lena he paray ga. Chunri would be a good option. Can you refer any specific shop or place to visit for such shopping.

You can also go to Museum. However, would strongly recommend, in fact would insist :P, visiting Jamia mosque Al-Sadiq. A grand structure standing tall some 15-20 feets above the ground, in the center of the city. Beneath are numerous shops, selling a range of items. Simply, a true master piece!

There are lots of shops between Farid gate and Jamia Masjid Al-Sadiq. You can visit them on your way to Mosque.
