Asalam o Alukum Dear all,
Recently we, group of seven have done a five day trip to Kumrat and kalash valley completely on our own cars.
Toyota Altis and Belta. (although it was not fair with the cars).
1st Night-------------Dir (2200 for two rooms)
2nd Night-----------Kumrat (700 for room with seven mattresses)
3rd Night-----------Kalash (2500 for Two rooms, Foreigner Hotel )
4th Night-----------Dir (2200 for two rooms)
and back to Islamabad. Alhumdulillah.
It took almost Five (05) hours to reach Kumrat from dir.
And dir to Kalash also Five (05) hours via Lawari Tunnel.
Tunnel Closing time is 6 PM.
Although we took our own cars but It is recommended that while going to Kumrat, park your car at Thull and take jeep from there.
Same for Kalash Valley, park your car in Ayun village and take jeep from there although if you want to take your car be very careful (for cars with less ground clearance) and there are 2-3 steeps and road condition is very bad.
Note: In Kumrat most of the hotel owners were packing up to go back as the season is about to close. For confirmation here are few numbers to whom one can contact before going there now onward.

Info: River Touch Hotel just after few Km from Dir towards Lawai is very good restaurant, highly recommended for lunch dinner. Clean and Cool place. We enjoy Shinwari in dinner.
