Trip to fairy meadows

I need some info regarding fairy meadows.. we friends want to go via the babusar pass but i dont have any info about that route. A) has the pass opened? B)I hear natco goes via this route as well, is it true? C) how is the road? D) how long will it take to get to raikot from this route E) what to do after we get to raikot? how much time will the jeep trek take and how much farther do we have to walk. F) If we start early morning from abbotabad (say 5-6am) by what time can we reach the fairy meadows? G) what sort of facilities are available there?

if we go we will be on a very tight schedule so any suggestions and advice is welcomed..

I went to fairy meadows recently via karakoram highway. we crossed Chillas and then we went through raikot bridge, after reaching raikot bridge u need to higher a jeep that will take u to the fairy point via dangerous mountainous tracks known to be world's 2nd dangerous tracks.... u'll reach fairy point in approx 20 mins from fairy point u'll start the trekking of approx 2.30-3 hours uptill fairy meadows cottages and camps. They have electricity their,they create it by themselves using turbines.
The food u get their has very little spices so take pickle with u. U will also need lots of hot clothes and jackets as temp at night reaches 2-4 degrees.

i would suggest that you must take your own food as last year one single roti was as expensive as 40 rupees at fairy meadows..
so it is better to have your own tinned food.
last year jeep took 6000rs for the track(including pick and drop and they dont allow more than 6 people on one jeep). its a 14km jeep track which can take 75 to 90mins, followed by a 3 to 4 hour trek, which will be tough but worth the effort.
as for accomodation, if you can afford, then fairy meadows cottages owned by hafiz farman (Fairy Meadows Cottage)are the best.they have the best view of nanga parbat but are way too expensive.
my recommendation would be raikot sarai or greenland hotel and site. it is owned by fida ahmed, a very nice person indeed. you can take my name to fida and he will give you cottages at rent as low as 200 to 250 per head per night(depending on your bargaining skills :P)

what if we go on our own car can we park at raikot without worrying for its safety?
if we leave mansehra at about 7am can we not reach raikot in time and go towards tattu...asal mei time he sab se bara masla hai is lye mei detail mei puch raha hn...kya raikott stop krna zarori hai?? Rest is no problem last month hum khunjerab se ho k aaye hain in just 5.5 days

Sir jee. Koun itni food safar ma sath rakhay... THora unn logon ko bhi kamanay dain...

Its not comfortable to add 2,3 Kg more on your back while trekking.

but yes you are right in a sense, weight k sath trekking is tough..
as for @arslan i would suggest that u must spend a night at beyal camp...it is almost an hours trek from fairy meadows... a very very beautiful place to spend some time...
and if u people are decent trekkers then try going to nanga parbat base camp as well..
