If you're travelling with an infant and use public transport, then I would suggest to contact some reputable tour operator and book everything in advance from Muzaffarabad. It will give you the peace of mind without resorting to haggling with the transporters, look out for hotels and accommodations etc. etc.
I had planned a similar trip last year but unfortunately couldn't go due to some commitments back home. Following itinerary was proposed to me by a tour operator, however, please note that my intended pick up and drop off point was Islamabad:
Day 1. Islamabad to Muzaffarabad - 135 Kms - 3.5 Hours, Stay at Muzaffarabad
Day 2. Muzaffarabad to Keran - 91 Kms - 3 Hours Stay at Keran Resort
Day 3. Keran to Sharda - 43 Kms - 2 Hours, then same day;
Day 3.1. Sharda to Kel - 19 Kms - 1.5 Hours
Day 3.2. Kel to Arang Kel - Cable car with 25 minutes walk, Back to to Sharda, Stay at Sharda Resort
Day 4. Traveling back to Keran, Stay at Keran Resort
Day 5. Travel back to MZD, Visit Peerchanasi, Stay at Muzaffarabad
Day 6. Travel back to Islamabad
Total 5 nights, 6 day trip in an a/c Pajero with hotel accommodation (two rooms) was quoted in Rs.95,000 for a family of 5. Meals were not included in the package. I hope that helps.
