At around 2:30 we reached Kunda Shahi. Had cold drinks and bit of chit chat and planned for next stage of the trip

PM AJK visit was due and you can witness alot of PPP flags.

One more thing i want to point out; shades are rare on Neelum road and not that frequent

i m leaving for neelum valley in a couple of days, need to know weather condition of Jagran, Shada, Kel. Is it mild or chilly

Faisal, there is AJK tourism guest house in KEL, Sharda, Kutton, Karen (if i am not wrong). but i will confirm you after looking into the map. You can also contact AJK Tourism department. You can go to Karen foirst day and stay there. Next day go to Kale via Sharda and try to reach Kutton on same day. Stay in Kutton and visit Jagran next day and you can leave on the same day for ISB. Please take Sub Block for kids and rest of members and try to cover them as much as you can. Kid's skin is very sensitive and they can catch sun burn and you know sun burn is really painful. Sunlight is pinches in neelum but its pleasant in shades. You will be required warm clothes at night, evening and ofcourse incase of rain. Have fun and safe journey.

Dear Assad i have addressed your concerns in my previous posts but for your convenience i m writting again. Weather is same like Naran or Kaghan if you been to. Neelum flows nearly parallel to Kunhaar and both the valleys i.e. kunhar and neelum are nearby. Sun is bright and sunlight pinches in the day though you will feel comfrtable in shade. Take sun block with you and use it on exposed parts of ur body. At night you will definitely need warm cloths and ofcourse in the evening and if it rains. Best of luck and have very safe journey. While your visit please take special care of not throwing any garbage; try to keep a bag and dump all the stuff in it. Wen you reach home or some major city dump that garbage bag there.

Thanks for sharing useful bit of information. I'm also planning a trip to Neelum valley in the first week of July and need to know two things

1- Road condition Karen onwards. Can I get to Kel on my car.
2- Can I visit Jagran on my car or is it a jeep only track

@ rehman, i have seen people going to Kel on cars but i wont advise it, it would be too much for a car. 2ndly when i visited fortunately there was no rain; but in rain, after sharda on car will be too much. Its my personal opinion though i have seen Mehran, Santro, Xbox and Cultus going to Sharda

In my books Jagran is impossible on car its a pure 4x4 track. Even its difficult on Bikes without off road or dual purpose tires, i did it on bike but its hell of a track

one more thing for people who are planning to travel to Neelum, please try to get booking of AJK Tourism guest houses in advance as i think these guest houses are best available option. 2ndly dont ever forget to take your sleeping bag as if you dont get that good and neat place to stay you should atleast have your clean sleeping bag with you to sleep in at nite.
