I also visited those places on CD-70 n once on Toyota Hilux those r really beautiful places, n onw thing u also noticed that all houses in Samani have Back walls towards Inda Border n thy all r made very thick.

Did u also saw the Reich(Bear) Mountain.

@porsche maker. Yes ! the houses were very different. The walls were very thick and were made of very heavy stones. This was to protect the people in case of shell fire from across the border.

Aamir, very nice photos and details of your trip. I have not travelled to this area, but would love to go there some day. I just hope that India and Pakistan are able to resolve their differences soon. Wars aren't worth it.

Thanks for appreciating my pictures.

@ kizzi - Didnt notice the kms but must be around 250 kms. one way.. It was tiring.. when we used to park by the side of the road to take some rest.. Our legs were numb. partly due to Cold winds and long journey.
