Trip to shogran from islamabad! Help please

Assalamualikum! Hope u all are in good health! So, we're planning a trip from islamabad to shogran for 3 days on corolla Gli! (Current model) its our first time. I wanted to ask that what are the road conditions! And how much fuel Will be needed as we are a little low at our budget! Actually our exams just ended of 2nd year. So don't have much savings! We are six friends. Which hotel is the best and affordable. Will their be any tourist guide. Means we dont know anything about shogran yet! So can anyone can please guide me! Our budget is around 18 thousand of food,hotel and fuel!. We have to leave on 28 may! So any advice or precautions to be made! Thank you

I think you will need 5000 to rs of fuel from Islamabad to Shogran.
You can stay in Balakot and then go on to Shogran the next day. Hotel Pine Track is a good hotel in Balakot.
It takes 5 hours from Islamabad to Balakot.

Why are you ending your trip at Shogran? Why not drive about 2 hours more and go to Naran? See Saif Ul Maluk, Lulusar Lake and Babusar Top. In my opinion hardly anything to see at Shogran. And trip from Islamabad to Naran can be made in under 7 hours. I would suggest you to revise your trip and see more than just Shogran.

Some relative went to Naran saifulmalook Shogran and siri pai few days ago they told road to Naran is ok but road to Shogran from kevai is very bad muddy and bumpy

Just came last week from shogran. Drove my Cultus all the way to Shogran from Karachi with 4 adults 1kid.

Coming to topic, Leave early morning from Islamabad and you will be in 6-7 hours (including your 2-3 half an hour stays).

Road conditions througout till kiwai is very good. Just drive carefully, slowly on SMALL gears both inclining n declining once hilly areas starts after ABBOTABAD.

After Kiwai, road to Shogran is apporx 7 km but quite steep rise. I drove my car throughout 7 kms in 1st gear and give 15-20 mins rest in middle approx after 3.5-4 kms.

Your approx distance from Islamabad to Shogran one way is 250 km via motorway/10 avg will cost you not more than 4,000rs for 500kms.

We stayed in Hill Top hotel at Shogran which cost us 2500 for 2 rooms (1250 each) without breakfast.

ONE SUGGESSION, While declining back from shogran, only use 1st gear with minimum breaks. Try to use break only when you need to break the momentum of your car. Instead, use hand break often.

Take some packed food if you are low on budjet.

Yes I was in Shogran yesterday. I saw 2 Mehrans in Shogran at the top successfully. Just don't take a car which heats up. Radiator etc must be working properly.

Road to Shogran is steep climbing.. before going on that road , give some rest to car..
I have done on Prius. I recommend to put some water bottles filled in car (in case Heatup) and have some rest in the half of way... try not to full stop on climbs.
