hello bros
im planning to visit skardu in first wk of january .... need ur advice as far as condition of road from islo to skardu specially in these days
i cant plan it in summers due to job compulsions .... or u may suggest any other good but far away place in northern areas

Kkh opened all around the year and Skardu road opened too

man it will be pretty much cold in January , if no other time then get a hotel with all the time hot water availability and heaters . i have visited skardu in winter once . that's not that bad other then this . PTDC can give electric heaters in rooms but water damn that's impossible to wash you face in freezing cold glaciated water .

PTDC closed for winters. Right now temperature is -10 in January it will go down to -15 at late night.
