Basically I am from Karachi, but during tour days I was at Lahore with my wife.
Day 1 Summary
Left Lahore for Rawalpindi via Rawal Express Train @ 12.30 A.M on 20 March. Reached RWP @ 4.30 A.M (fare 390 x 2=780)
RWP satation to Pir Wadai via taxi (fare 250)
Left RWP from Pir Wadai to Mingora on local Coaster @ 7.00AM and reached Mingora 1.15 P.M (fare 450 x 2=900)
Mingora bus stand to Fizaghat [Hotel Darya e Swat] Raksha fare Rs.50. Hotel booked for 1 night and rate was Rs.1000/night.
After 2 hour rest and lunch, left for saidu sharif mazar+Mingora bazar+fiza ghat park in raksha. (fare from hotel to fizaghat park+saidu sharif mazar+Mingora bazar Rs.500 as raksha was booked for 4 hours to above 03 places).
From saidu sharif mazar to white palace marghzar and white palace marghzar to hotel hiroof van fare @ 350 per couple as we found another couple at saidu sharif.
Reached back to hotel around 10 P.M
Day 1 Detail.
Train trip was awesome but the coaster from RWP to Mingora was too local. Actually, this is my first time on local aur mujhe itna andza nahi hosaka, maine jaldi ki aur main coaster main bethgaya. Mujhe baad main pata laga k wahan se bari coaches bhi direct rwp se Bahrain and kalam and Mingora tak bhi jati hain jo k 04 hours leti hain. Coaster ne 06 hours lie aur gentry bhi total locals pathan ki thi. Agar main bari coach ya bus main jata tu uska fare tu ziada tha like 550 but time duration kam hotaand gentry achi hoti.kher
Hotel was really awesome neat & clean straight to river swat having facility of hot water andLED. Bohat he class ka hotel tha 3000 quote kie the main 1000 pe tha wo last 1500 pe tha. Out of season tha rooms khali the + maine apne last private driver se bat karwadi thi jis k sath 2016 m main naran kaghan gaya that u us k reference se atlast 1000 pe mangaya tha owner. Lunch and dinner bht awesome and reasonable the.
Saidu sharif and Mingora are twin city kab ab kis main enter hojayen pata nai chalega. Saidu sharif ka mazar+ Mingora ka behtren kapro ka bazar abaseen market+white palace marghazar all were beautiful.

After breakfast around 9.30 left hotel for bus stand called vatkey adda (raksha fare 50)
Hiace left for Malam jabba @ 10.30 AM and reached malam jabba @ 12.45 P.M. (fare 150 x 2 = 300)
Left malam jabba @ 3.30 P.M and back to Mingora Bus Adda @ 5.30 P.M (fare 150 x 2=300) .
From same bus adda left for Bahrain and hiace left around 6.15 P.M and reached Bahrain 8.30 P.M (bus fare 130 x 2 = 260)
Booked Dimsun hotel at Bahrain in Rs.1000.
Day 2 Detail.
Is bar mera budget bhi kam tha and I wanted to get local transport experince. However, I will suggest agar apka budget hai ya ap k sath koi aur family bhi miljati ha tu private vehicle is best option. But agar apka budget kam hai aur ap himmat karsakte hain tu local / public transport service buri nahi. Har tarhan se save ha family k lie jaga jaga police & army camp, CNIC verification, pooch gach etc. So, you will be remained safe as well in public transport too.
Malam jabba k kuch raste kafi kharab hain aur thakadene wale bhi hain but 1 lambe safar k baad bohat he haseen aur khobsorat jaga apko dekhne ko milti hai.
Bahrain itself apni beauty aap hai. We were too tired q k Mingora se malam jabba, malam jabba se wapas Mingora then Mingora se baharain ka safar kia hoa tha. Malam jabba se direct Bahrain ki local nahi chalti apko private karna parti hai 2500 se 3000 single trip.
Bahrain main iqbal hotel ka kahana & nashta reasonable and ache tha. Owner of Dimsun hotel was demanding 1500 rent for a night but again apne porane driver k reference se 1000 main done hoa. Hotel average tha not too good or too bad. But again Mingora k hotel ki bat alag thi. Really auspicious one.

Around 12 O clock left for madyan from Bahrain in fielder (fare 30 x 2 = 60)
Main madyan bazar to trout fish farm (pedal ana jana around 2.5 KM)
Left madyan in hiace around 4 PM for Mingora (100 x 2=200) and reached Mingora 6.00 P.M
Left Mingora for Lahore @ 8.30 P.M in shahid coach (fare 1100 x 2=2200)
Reached Lahore bus adda @ 4.30 A.M and we were at home 5 .00 A.M
Day 3 Detail.
Bahrain and madyan dono bohat achi picnic places hain. Time ki shortage ki waja se kalam and aage nahi gaya q k mahudand close thi time shortage ki he waja se direct Mingora se lhr gaya na k again Mingora se pindi then pindi se Lahore.
Shahid coach service Mingora main geo swat coach and Daewoo k muqable ki he hai and fares bhi reasonable hain. Fix 08 hours main Mingora se Lahore.

Note. Family (couple) single or having 1 kidz easily public transport main safar karsakte hain swat valley main. Bus local ha tu thora time taking hai but security and privacy no issue at all.
