Approached Tulajha cliff fort from a very unusual Trek (12 km) on 25-12-16, enjoyed
amazing view all along. The Trek started from Dhok Triri (Khura), arriving tulajha and finally at Darbar Kachian wala. The Trek was accomplished on 25-12-2016. We started
at 10 am from Triri and reached Kachian wala at 5 pm, nearly 2 hours stay at Tulajha
cliff fort. The team members were very enthusiastic, committed and cheerful.
Mr. Nasir Malik arranged transport from Trek starting point to end, as we parked our
cars at Khura. We had also the luxury of being feasted with a very delicious and well
served food by our host, we all are much thankful to Nasir Malik sb for cooperation and
welcome, that played a key role for our Trek success. I am thankful to all participants
for coming and being in wild together. I am sure that this one addiction of nature saves
us from all other addictions and provides us energy to achieve the ultimate. (Photos:

Fort History: Tulajha Fort is linked with the attack of Genghiz Khan army during 13
century A.D, some peoples constructed and took refuge here for long time. Remains of
about 150 houses are still present. On the way from Kathwai to Khushab, after few km
from Dada Golra, a sign board on the road is "Baba Kachhi Wala Faqir", just 100 m
onward a jeepable track (5km) leads to Baba Kachhi Wala Darbar, and from that
location all the locals know about Tulajh Fort, From Kachhi wala to Fort is about 90
minutes track and near the fort one has to walk through difficult bushes at some places.
Archaeology dept. Lahore has carried the research work with some excavations, Tulajh
is linked with 13 century, at the time of the attach of Genghiz Khan on the subcontinent,
his armies were chasing some muslim army and the later took refuge
here,,,according to my own judgement the no of army persons were approximately 1500
to 2000. They came from the south from Punjab plains and climbed up the mountains and found this natural refuge. This cliff is of limestone and almost vertical from all the
sides, except from north , where a narrow path leads to the flat top of the cliff. Infact
this fort requires a lot of research work and it an amazing place to visit, the coordinates
of the tulajha are 32°29'18.75"N 72°15'49.25"E.
