Really?? but i think my cars' ac trips even at fan speed 4... im not sure though, i ll check it. but i have a civic vti here n its ac does trip at full fan speed

Switch on the A/C @ Fan speed 1 and note down the time when it gets tripped.
Now do the same @ Fan speed 2, 3 and 4 and note down the time. You'll notice that @ speed 1 it gets tripped frequently i.e. after short duration of time and it gets increased according to fan speed.

In Old cars like Corolla 86 OR suzuki khyber there is a seperate button of "Economy" and while using that .. A/C gets tripped more frequently as compare to A/C button. and in those models.. Fan speed doesn't make any difference...

So fan speed in new models does effect the fuel economy.

our city idsi 2006 had done 17km/l at the speed of 70 to 80km/h in 5th gear

getting hand on various 2006-08 idsi i conclude that below 100k mileage u can get 14-15km//l in city. after 100k u can get 10-12km/l and after 130k u hardly get 7-8km/l. all these values are in city driving of karachi.
and on manual trans. all these cars i personally fit thermostat and calibrate throttle stop screw.on some change tb with kabli. check compressions also.idsi l12/13/15 engines after 100km running will only shows good mileage if u kept car in top notch from zero meter otherwise cnged and local mechanics screwed almost all cars

u neeed to change all spark plugs i think in city is around 8 plugs & clean throttle body than it will improve more

things to check
1. thermostat valve. if its not present car runs in open loop and consumes petrol.
2. throttle stop screw cannot be disturbed if yes change with kabli TB.
3. if cnged then rewire MAP sensor wire and TP sensor wire.
according to your statements yur tp sensor is tempered by mechanic. either adjust it by computer or get untouched TB from kabar.1000rpm is normal at cold start.

11-12 KM/L if it's driven 100k+ and maintained warna they drop below 10. Koi aisi City bachi hi nahi jo ki recommended oil 5w30 / 0w20 pe chalayi gayi ho shuru se or Iridium plugs ke sath sath timely maintain ki gayi ho, so the average drops overtime because of poor maintenance and log Mechanics ki baatein sunte hain, recommended pe nahi jaatey that's why average gir jati hai and you cannot recover it.

HONDA CITY IDSI 2005 . getting 18+ on long & 15+ . assembly replaced 2 year ago and running on liquimoly from that time . 10,000 par hi oil change karwata hon, NGK g-power plugs and routine tunning, china tyres 185/65R15 . (acha fuel station matters most in Pakistan). acha mechanic milna 2nd biggest issue, jo classic bethy woh engine noise sunty, 90% jin k pas computer devices hain unko pata hi nhi default values ka and how to achieve that, unko just reset all ka option hi pata, sensors values kia aa rahi hain and kia ani chahiay. agar apki average set nhi to IDSI models mai biggest issue wiring ka hota hay, although meri purani hi chal rahi but a close friend achieve 18+ just by replace wiring coz old wiring pc ko thek value hi nhi dy rahi hoti to problem hoty hain

old cars mai sab sy bara issue hard wiring ka hota hay jo actual values hi nhi deti pc ko. agar average set nhi ho rhi to best solution is replace important sensor wirings (atleast)
