Tuk tuk sound from engine

my 2002 mehran is making some tuk tuk sound from engine, when i start the car in morning it gives some sound like something is colliding with the engine head or something like it, what it could be? is it a lose tappet? or any bearing in engine bay? please help me
and my car is not heating up at all, its very normal and pick is also very good and no problem like jerking or heating or halting or any other, please help me... i am worried because i have to drive almost 25 kilometers regularly.

Do you drive it on Petrol? May be its the "knocking" of the engine?

There is a 95% chance its the sound from your Axel. If the sound comes when you turn, then its the lower end of the Axel, if the sound comes when you're driving straight its the upper end of the axel.

I had a engine at school which made this tok tok sound to. Our teacher gave us the assingment of figuring out what that was. After hours we concluded that it was the diesel in side the combustion chamber which didnt ignite, or some of it did but not all.
Its kind of hard to tell what your problem could be.

Just go the mechanic and he will figure it out.

well, the sound comes when i start my car in morning, and i have not driven it on petrol since 3 months, secondly i have checked it while in standing position, i mean its not the turning axel, but the sound comes inside the engine.....and after some time it gets fine usually......

bro just go to u r machanic and told him to check its tappet its 100% tappet sound the sound comes from black tappet cover under the air filtter m i right??????????????

Also check fanbelt.
sometimes tuk tuk sound comes from defective fan-belt

exactly this kind of awaz comes from my engine ..its not dangerous .....this is because of the gearbox.its related to the shaft of the gearbox ....or something like that my father somebody explained me this problem ..sai tarah samajh nai aai thi mijhay to x)...laikin itni dangerous nai hai it comes from the gearbox in my case...

yes even i think its from the tappet or a fan belt, one thing i noticed yesterday that when i was driving on petrol it was giving me more sound the sound which usually comes when we drive on high gears and on low speed sound like tuk tuk tk tuk and then it gets ok.....

thankyou all bros who tried to help me out, the problem is solved rite now, it was neither tappet nor fan or any other... the little issue was that engine nuts were lose from beneath where it is mounted, after observing 10 minutes the mechanic did it and the sound is gone, btw i really thought it was coming from inside the engine...thankGOD it is fine now....
