Turbo and nos in civic 2004

i wana know is it possible to install turbo and nos on stock engine of civic model 2004???

you can, but only a very light pressure turbo and (maybe) 25 shot nos,.. any more than this and you'll literally stretch the engine apart since these cars run a pretty high compression already.

my honest suggestion (if you want performance) is to go for a swap as the stock engines are built for economy and don't respond well to mods. Also a swap will be cheaper than a good turbo & nos kit (followed by a mandatory rebuild).

do look into upgrading your transmission and brakes as well.

the only option you have is a supercharger or stripping the interior (light weight will make a HUGE difference in acceleration, handling and stopping)

i second to strom,but the price he gonna pay for a super charger for that u can easily get a b16 a or b, in agood condition. then u can surely u can get the turbo in wd 50shot nos cz on ur stock engine u wont be getting more then 7-8 psi of the boost from a turbo on stock internals.best thing if u wana keep the stock is get the motor rebuild with forged pistons,get in crower cam, fuel rail,280cc injectors,change plugs,10mm wires,get msd ignition,air intake etc etc. that would give u enough satisfaction,

@cloud100, stop spreading false info, air intakeS? turbo? b16? the stock engine comes with 240cc injectors already, why do you want 280cc injectors? if you dont know what you're talking about, its best to stay out of it, sorry for being a d*ck, but i had to.

@MDbasim, your engines a d16w9, there arent any superchargers for this model, and no, you cant swap in a b16. Yes you can run 7 psi turbo and a 50 shot safely on everything stock, given that your cars tuned well, your best bet is management, which is either kpro or aem ems. If you think im speaking in french, its best that you either search on international forums, or just by an rx8. i suggest you piece up a nice turbo kit, go for a t3 super 60 turbine, custom made turbo manifold, taiwanese intercooler, locally made intercooler piping with 3" piping, hondata kpro ecu management, 525 cc deastch work injectors, bov, and a 50 shot nitrous.

this will cost a good 450-500 thousand rupees

@cloud100,first off it doesnt hurt me, not hurts me, secondly, again wrong info, b16s are all for 88-2000 model civics, theres a big difference in those and 2005. About h22, yes it can fit, but the problems are unbarable, do something right the first time, and yes thats considered wrong information. How about you go ask those guys that have done B or H swaps in the newer civics...about k20, its a 7thgen engine and its ideal for the 05 model, ive got one, so you dont need to tell me...

anyways im n ot here to argue, the guy need help, so how about let him get constructive and helpful information, eh?

I am turbo charging my Lancer 1.3 2006 Model. Work is on its way. On stock internals and current ECU I can easily run at 8psi. But turbo charging civic is a big headache. As stated by storm already that its a high compression engine. You need to do alot of stuff. You need MAF dodge valves, 300CC injectors, piggy back and ecu chipped. You can use CT9 or TD04 turbo. FMIC, Oil piping, Manifolds, FPR, in-tank fuel pump. These things will make your budget really high.

as ahad said already turbo without fuel management is not worthy on d16w9.There was a civic in lahore which ran 5 6psi boost wth 35shots and ate sum fast cars

No doubt the info provided by ahad is very accurate as he had driven a nicely done d17 turbo on 2005 model and now a k24 swapped in it.
So he has a good experience of both of these.

Piggy back and chipped ecu? last time i heard was that its either one of the two, not both. secondly, turboing a civic is hard, what pot you smoking? civics by far are the EASIEST cars out there to modify. So kindly dont speak if you dont know what you're talking about, dont mind, but everyone deserves the right information. Oh and yeah, good luck keeping that lancer engine in one piece without management or a tune, as you're anticipating.

Lol... Harsh would be the word ahad .... I agree wrong information but i guess abit more kindness would be nice. And as far as swapping a k in a 96 civic and a b in a 2004 all have been done and run successfully ... So it isn't exactly incorrect information. In Pakistan you hardly would be able to find decent/good tuners except for the noted ones as we all know so yes maintaining and doing it would be very difficult for most people more like it

one question.. besides the k series itself the kpro works with which other engines ? The d I think it does not sure and any others ?

As far as the person goes I think 7-8 psi islretty good for a stock engine wouldn't recommend NOS if you want abitof engine life as well. There isn't much after market support for the d16w9 so if you are interested in an engine swap a d17, built, would be awesome. And then you can add the turbo NOS etc.

Then again its the powerband that you want to reach 200hp or 400hp.

well if we compare civic 02+ and lancer 05+.I its easier to install and manage turbo in lancer and yet one can fetch more power out of a lancer in lower budget and even more HPs similarly as it can be boosted to 12 13psi if one uses fuel management or good piggy back to manage fuel and timing.Without any fuel management you can boost it upto 8 9 psi only wth FPR and Injector.Secondly there is return line in lancer which civic 03 lacks.Thirdly no need to upgrade fuel pump as stock supports very well.
In civic 03 d16w9 no return line.have to upgarde fuel rail or simply fuel managements wth aftermkt injectors.Secondlymax boost wth aftermkt FMU which ahad achieved 9psi as far as my info.ahad correct the figures if they r wrong.have to upgarde fuel pump.
And foremost lancer is more rigid better breaking and better road grip so to mee no match

@cloud100, i never said a k isnt possible in a 96, infact its a better fit than an 05. Where as for an 05 with a B, good luck.

@ausi, kpro only works on D17 and all K series, as for the nitrous, if used correctly, your engines going no where.

@wasay, you're right, but the returnless doesnt hurt upto 12 psi, the fuel pump takes upto 9 psi, but the piggy back doesnt go above 9 psi as youve stated, need an ems to go ahead

well it cuts ur cost for guys who have limited budget and yet u can also manage the air wth some options in throttle so it is better indeed
