the tc and fe are internal toyota nomenclature

just like in engines the have valvetrain designations of F and G which are for valve angle but make no sene in general english

At the right side, below to the picture, in powertrain section, move your curser to the T/C mentioned alongwith 1.5 L 1NZ-FE I4 (t/c)

that is a hot link for other documents within wiki, T/C usually means turbocharger hence it pops, if you hover over I4 - it shows straight 4 engine document, similarly if you hover over the 1NZ-FE it pops the toyota document.

did you use that to deduce that CVT-TC means turbocharged oil?

Can you please guide me which transmission oil should I use for my Vitz (2013) - FE (08886-02505) or TC (08886-02105)?

According to one mechanic, it should be TC and there is no way you can use FE for Vitz.
According to other, for models post-2013, you need FE, and it is clearly indicative on the bolts.

Found something on this page. Not sure about its authenticity or research.

As per the page:

CVTF-FE is also available and is recommended for colder areas with temperatures that continuously remain below zero centigrade. It is less sheer stable than CVTF-TC but may give slightly better fuel economy which is hardly noticeable. Also It is not recommended according to climate of Pakistan, even if you do use it then change it at half life. Gearboxes using this oil are compatible both with CVTF-TC and CVTF-FE.

Its wrotten FE on you nut. Use CVTF-FE.

Most modern cars including toyota's that are assembled in Pakistan use CVT-FE in transmission boxes. This is true that it is thin as compared to CVT-TC which was used in old CVT cars. I own mira e:s and its manual says that you can use both FE as well as TC but mileage will be slightly better if you use FE. I dont agree that it is not recommended in Pakistan, if its not then why toyota is using it in its cars?
