Ok so now ZK read this carefully. 1HZ is a lovely outdated/latest(in some countries) piece of machinery.
2 years back, because of this engine (with Turbo- A proper Complete KIT Imported from abroad) I was willing to sell my 80 Series and go for the FRP in which it was installed, but couldn't sell my Rig.
1HZ, is the sort of machine, you cross the Sahara Desert with your family. It's not for dune climbs, it's for pulling loads, Reliability,Longetivity.
There are two schools of thought, 1), Keep a safe boost, install a Turbo and hope for the best. 2), Spend money, get a proper kit, dive till the internals, and enjoy a 1HZ/1HDT.
If I were to undertake this project, I would Consult Osama @syncview in LHR and Ahmad Qaiser/Kaizr Cruiser KHI.
But Bhai, as @dayrider pointed out, first make sure the structure you are building on is healthy (in this case your engine). How have you checked it so far? Gunned it and then opened the oil cap is NOT a Health Check!!!
Also bhai, 1HZ is not 1HDFTE or 1GD. Both in my humble experience of 11 years lounging in workshops are world apart.
Things to do,
First get complete Health Ceck of you 1HZ from Qaisaer or Osama, then, do some digging and invest in a proper & full Turbo Kit for your 1HZ (remember, people will be very eager for a Turboed 1HZ, but no one will pay you premium at the time of selling).
My very sincere advise is to switch the Rig with a more Grunty Power Plant or else engine swap (I am totally against this).
My eyes are now on ISUZU D MAX Brand NEW IN Sha Allah. Sat in one a couple of weeks ago and instantly had a Hard On.
