Twin cam 20 redtop

Past days i was little busy swaping an engine assembly part in corolla. thanks to mechanic's unwanted fiddling around with engine, it took me little longer to tune up the car. Engine came from Japan with a redtop cover.

all other parts except main block and throttles are from previous engine.

clean swap.. do this swap need custom mounts or its on original mounts and wht about the gear box ..

its running on its own 5 speed gearbox, and mount rubbers according to engine specs,, soft rubber mounts break quick

cost varies from engine to engine. plus at times you need additional parts and running around that adds up... 2nd hand stuff costing is different.

you can find an engine prices from shoba and pindi .. local guys from there will give you better estimates.,,

car is already equipped with GT specs so its not whole swap

i feel happy that i was able to finish the job.

difference in drive,, both this or previous one were fine tuned and behaved well on road:). swaping a 20v from car already running on 20v donest have major perf, signifance

prevoius one was reducing oil and needed oil chks on long drives,, this has some peace of mind for time being.

guys,, this is corolla's engine , it fits in,, mounts and all.. all you need are proper parts and yr done.

welding and all isnt needed to change the block, previous block was also 20v.

engine assembly is also known as block,, just assembly has some more parts attached. than just the block

its only the plug cover which is painted red.. there is no such redtop in 20v.....
thought the paint quality is looking awesome(y)
