Tyre for Corolla

Can you suggest new good tyres for Corolla?
Chinese or Japanese.?
A dealer is asking both tyres will work for 40 to 50k KM. So go for chinese.

I have changed my corolla xli 2006 tyres recently. If you have budget than go for Japanese but if budget is limited then Chinese is a good option. I installed Good Ride RP28 185/70/14 a month ago. So far so good, Fuel saving 1km/liter, Comfort, a little bit noisy. it cost me Rs.6000/- per tyre.

I would suggest tyres from renowned brands, irrespective made in Japan, China, Malaysia, etc. Made doesn't matter much IMO, brands name matters more!

Both may last 40-60,000 Kms, but lasting of 60,000 Kms from tyres by Bridgestone, Michelin, Continental, etc. And then by Chinese brand, makes a lot of difference!

Chinese abc brands tyres usually turn hard, noisy and uncomfortable after some time. Tyres from reputed brands usually remain same till they last.

The choice of tires is guided by the use and the budget. A brand name speed rated tire with a softer compound will give a great ride and grip at the cost of a shorter life and higher purchase price, compared to an off-brand cheaper tire. Also keep in mind that smuggled tires are usually damaged internally during transport.

I installed Toyo (Japan) 195/65/15, when I bought the new car in March 2016.
Gave me a smooth and soundless ride.
Now it has crossed 50K and the tires are still pretty good. However, will change them next month.

had Toyo installed on my Atlis 1.6 and they drove for 50K.
Now replaced with Yokohama Blue Earth A.
12K per tire.

Very smooth and soundless drive.

Hi Awais, I would recommend you try this new brand called Otani from Thailand. It's an excellent tyre for the price!
