AoA, have accord 96 kept with love and just 57K driven, want to change tires and original tire size 185-65-15, manual also recommend to go 195 with 60 and 65 profile, my requirement is soft and braking, which brand you recommend and what profile i shall i go with? in past with my other civic cars i used continental cc5, Michelin energy, TBH, couldn't get a satisfactory experience as both making sounds on turning in very first summer season.

some close friends also recommends based on their experience with good chinese brands available in pakistan, what's your opinion about chinese top brand avilable in pakistan?

Was your tyre pressure correct? Sounds during turning implies sidewall touching the road which is result of inadequate tyre pressure. It really poor alignment

I never liked Chinese brands. They make dirt cheap but lower quality products. I suggest you go for General Euro Star tire. They are cheap and a lot of PW experts including the legend Suneel Manj CEO of PW say the quality of General tires is not significantly less than international brands.

i disagree i have used euro star on my grande which has odo reading now 36000km and bg luxo on my civic x turbo for about 12k km . both are working fine the best thing abt these tires is that they are new rubber unlike smuggled tyre which are out dated another thing is that imported tyres are nt made according to road conditions of pak. and after few k km they have issues like bloting n all not to say that imported tyres are not good but keeping in mind the road conditions the steel car n tyre…

I have stock General Tyre on my Mehran that I have driven 32K KM (2.5 years) and the tires still look brand new with no significant wear and tear. This is amazing since I drive mostly through rugged road conditions in Karachi. I have bought another car Civic Reborn recently and I am going for General Euro Star again as they are perfect for our roads and value for money.

BTW, we have a general inferiority complex among most PWeelers. And I am sick of their mindset. General is a made in Pakistan brand so people think that it is not reliable. You should ignore these people with inferior minds.

continental cc5 was a little noisy as compared to the latest Cc6, which is a good option w.r.t comfort and grip and tread life. Michellin Primacy 4 is a good option as well which u can find in the same size.
in Chinese brands i recommend ThreeA, Boto. they have good reviews only which mean internationally, hence they are mature brands. u can look up for them as well. and go keep proper tyre pressure in ur tyres mentioned on the driving side door.

Do get ur alignment check if ur car makes noises on turns as if alignment is out of the opposite side extra resistance is generated on tyres than they makes noises.

Bro go for Dunlop or if u have less budget some Chinese brand are which are more reliable than General.

Be very careful when purchasing continental product. I had really very bad experience with UC6 , threw them away and settled with yokohama.
90% continental tyres in market are smuggled and they will give you a very unstable ride.

yes, you are right smuggled tyres will give up quickly. imported ones are expensive, have to look for bends in tyre beads and side wall to insure it properly imported before purchasing if bends exists dont buy even if the shop keeper promise its imported or whatever.

Yes the number you gave me is of discount tyres islamabad, they are selling it at what tyrepoint are selling, it seems they are importing, but again will have to check before buying ...

These tyre dealers have found a way to undo bends in the tyre beads. They fit up the tyre on the rim and keep it there with max pressure for few days. This almost straightens up the bends and the tyres are fit to be sold out as genuine imported tyre

Check for authorised dealers on the manufacturers Web site and only get the tyre from that dealer, rest all are frauds. I have learnt all this after wasting over Rs25000
