Check for authorised dealers on the manufacturers Web site and only get the tyre from that dealer, rest all are frauds. I have learnt all this after wasting over Rs25000

The only authorised dealer of continentals are tyrepoint, but there prices are sky high ...

Increase your budget or settle for a cheaper brand. Its just mental satisfaction to get expansive European tyres for a daily usage car, however if you have a high performance car you may opt for expansive tyres. Its better to stick with mid range Japanese brand.

I am referring to yokohama mid range series like bluearth ES32 etc, though I maybe wrong by calling them mid range.

toyo is quite a good tyre brand. have better rating internationally w.r.t Yokohama.

Tyre point is not the only dealer in Pakistan. there are other importers. General tyres also claims to be only authorized importers of Continental in Pakistan. There are other independent importers as well. Check the condition of the tyres before buying, it gives quite some proof of being imported or smuggled. Bill of Landing documents also provides proof.

Toyo is expensive but lasts a bit longer than yokohama the only difference between their top of the line Proxes CF2 and ES32 is wear rating, for our roads ES32 is a much better choice since they only last 3 years performance wise, after that you can keep using them but avoid highway/high speed on old tyres.

go for original size rims, if u couldn't find them than 15".

whats the original Tyre size installed? o guess ur original rim size is 14". You can install 185-65-14 tyre size. it will have a good height n grip.
As for Tyre brand it all depends on ur budget. Dunlop yokohama Continental shud cost u around 40k till 46k. if you want to install some reputable Chinese tyres Boto, Trackmax , Atoeli, ThreeA are some good brand u shud look into. Cost range 28k till 34k

for rim price it all depends upon its condition. For purchasing Used rims ask the shop keeper to spin in on a balancing machine so u could see if there is any deformity in it and also check for damages before purchasing.

Currently I'm using 175-65-15 tyres. My rim is 6-6.5 JJ. I'm not sure. And I want to switch to wider tyres. Second, I'm getting original steel rims of Indus corolla in rupees 8,000 on OLX which are claimed to be 12,000km driven. My current rims are very old Chinese rims. I want to change them too. What do u recommend me? Furthermore, suggest wider tyre profile tyre in case I buy genuine Indus corolla rims.

if your Default rim size is 15" u can install 185-65-15 it will increase ur ride height and grip as well.
regarding the OEM steel rims, 8k seems reasonable if he claims 12k driven.

What should be dimensions if i want to intall widest tyre in case of OEM rims. Those rims were installed in Indus corolla GLI 2001

you can upsize approx. 2 times the tyre size.
for example if ur stock size is 175-65-15, u can go for 185-65-15 or 195-65-15 but still consult the tyre shop guy for max size.

You can install ur stock size 155-80-13 but theres very few options apart from General. 175-70-13 is an alternate size for u in which u can find many brands. So go for it.
