I don't thiny it will impact mileage much but it will be unnecessary burden on suspension for sure. 17 inch oem also comes in same model but that's a different profile

Tyres have shelf life of 3-4 years. That is totally upto you.

Uc6 is superior then mc5 as far I know.

I will go with uc6 anyday. 215/55 R16 fits perfectly.
It is closer to the size that comes in 2014-2017 grande. Width increases slightly.
Diameter increase puts a bump on acceleration and fuel economy.

Sir are you sure you are going about this the right way?Increasing tyre size might fill up a bit of tyre well but equally will raise ur car higher off the ground.Even while upsizing, Tire and rim combo is chosen very carefully to mimic the exact diameter of factory tyre in order to make the car ride at same height and respond to road imperfections the same way. If you really want to loose some height the only authentic way to do that would be either coilovers or lowering springs.Coilovers Id suggest as u can make ur car only slightly lower aswell so it doesnt hurt ur day to day commute. If u just want to go for a larger tyre thats upto you. Tyres on grande are the best any manufacturer has ever given off the showroom floor in Pkdm cars.

Upsizing enhancing section width of tyre is not a good idea on this rim as of wideness s just 6.5 inches. Upsizing gives u enjoyment n looks when rims width s about 8inches. Last model 2008 to 2014 easily bear this rim width but this Corolla can't bear it.
Iv silver grande pre FL n white FL n used 9/10 sizes
But oem size s best . Search a gud section width tyre if u wanna wide tyres.

Finally got new tyres today. I went for Michelin Primacy 4 in 225/55 R16. Even though i haven't drove much, i can feel the change in drive of the car (in a good sense). Baqi obviously 2, 3000 km chalne ke baad proper pata chalega tyres ka.

Even though this is not the MAIN concern, but as far as the looks go, car looks much much better than it did before. Will share pictures in a while. Arch gap is much less than it was before, but still there. I guess that is ok for when there are 4 passengers and a trunk full.

Speedometer reading of my car was 10km+ on OEM (never understood why). If it showed 120, actual speed was 110-111 (i use Ulysse Speedometer). Now on this size, its 5km+, however i checked on 80km/h. It might differ on 120km/h.

Yes, but not as much as i expected. Tbh, i like the drive better now. Yes, it's a bit stiff, however more grip on road. Braking is really good. Huge difference on mileage but that was expected. In a day's drive, i'm getting 12 km/l now instead of 13.2 i was getting before. However, i have to admit maine chalae bhi thori khench kar ha kal.

Front tyres ka koi issue nai ha on this size. Full steering turns per bhi there is a bit of gap between sheild and tyres.

Hummm actually it will be more difficult to carry on single road on a long tour when one have to drive zigzag . I remember when I used to tired of ma shoulders. Mtway pe koi faraq nai parta but high speed pe handle vibration ati ha. Brake ahista lagti ha as tyres v more wetage than before n more resistance on road.
Meri gaari ki pick b Kam hogai thi. Koi or grande mujay easily cross kr jati thi. Any how it's mind satisfaction. If u r then go on. But this Corolla suspension is not as obstinate dheat as previous one. So drive carefully

Yes you are right. Pick the farq zarur parta ha, but i always drive in sports mode, mazza to aata ha na chalane ka. To sports mode will compensate a bit for that. Plus, my driving is on Motorway mainly, thats the only reason i went upsize, for better grip. And as for brakes, my car is driven 62k km and still on factory brake shoes. On 60k checkup i had them serviced, and they are still good for another 5 to 10k kms. Even with almost worn out brake-shoes, i could feel the difference. The braking is actually much much better now than it was before.
