Tyre selection for isuzu dmax! Need help!

Really need help! Got really confused after visiting several tyre shops at faisal town, everybody trying to sell their own manjan, so couldnt trust anybody, even with reference. My tyre size that came with the truck was 255/60/18, this size is not available but could be imported from karachi as per one dealer. Though 265/60/18 and 265/65/18 was available, i need help in deciding which one to buy with pros and cons, of both. And also one person was trying to sell me chinese tyres and was really confident about them. Need help regarding that too.

I did some working for you, and following is the outcome:

(255/60/R18 VS 265/60/R18; this size seems quite reasonable to me as values are quite near to the stock)

(255/60/R18 VS 265/65/R18; this size seems a bit much and may be sincerely avoided)

If your particular and specific size is not available, then you may opt for 265/60/R18, if you are comfortable with it; else if, you can ask the dealer to source your desired size for you from Karachi.

If you are not tight on budget, then Chinese tyres may be sincerely avoided at all costs, unless / until they are from world renowned brands (which seem difficult).

Even Dunlops and Bridgestone are better than top Chinese brands IMO.

Dear brother, proper import tyres and shop selling them will speak for themselves:

1. First, the shop owner (his attitude, behavior, interaction, etc.) will be different from the rest.
2. 2ndly, you will see some charts where it will be mentioned to avoid smuggled tyres.
3. 3rdly, tyres packing will speak for itself.
4. 4thly, being the most important; you will not see any bend marks on the bead bundle.
5. 5thly, date of manufacturing will be non-tampered.
6. Lastly, the will be costly from most shops (as most shops will be selling smuggled tyres)

Is there any particular brand and series in which you are interested? Or any will work? like Dunlop, Bridgestone, Michelin, Yokohama, Continental, or Pirelli, etc.?

I want tyres which will not be a headache for me for atleast another 50000 kms, and will not tamper but improve my driving experience, im not aware of the brands so cant tell you by brand.

Then look for only in Dunlop or Bridgestone. If want to go premium; then Michelin, Continental or Pirelli.

Btw, what is the stock tyre brand of your car? and how has been the experience on them?

They were toyo, and i did go to northern areas 4-5 times plus also did off roading in mountains, on 45000kms and i have lost one tyre completely. Rest 4 are in 3/10 shape. Had to do alignment and balancing a lot of times, one tyre was deshaped at around 25000 kms. Though i would like better ones. I think i will go with continental, as michelin and pirelli were expensive than continental

Still, I would sincerely suggest to avoid this size, 265/65/R18.
