Tyre Upsize for WagonR JDM

Asalamualaikum Guys

Please guide me, i m in big confusion right now

I have Sazuki WagonR Japanese 2014 model 660cc. Tyres condition was really bad, so i've decided to change my tyres.

One of my friend advice me to install 185-70-R14 tyres.. previously installed size was 165-70-R14 and this size is not easily available in market..

Now i am confused that decision was good or really bad.
Because its effected my fuel economy.. i dont care much about economy.. but my main concern about my suspension and engine..

Please advice pros and cons of my decision.. i will really thankful to you all. Thanks in advance.

Is this the stock tyre size for your Suzuki Wagon R Japanese, 2014 model, 660 cc car?

To me it seems a big size, as usually, the rims in 660 cc cars are 13", with tyre widths usually varying from 145 to 165 mm.

One of my friend advice me to install 185-70-R14 tyres

I think, this size will be too wide and large for your ride, and may even not fit in your car.

IMO, you should try to stick with at max. 165 mm wide tyres, with aspect ratio 65-70.

Also look in your car's owners / users ,manual for the recommended tyre size, and if you do not have it, look for a small sticker / placard on the driver side panel of your car. It will have details about the tyre size, and recommended air pressure in tyres.

185/70/R14 is a sort of max. tyre size in 1000 cc hatchbacks, like Passo, Vitz, etc. and this size makes their movement a bit difficult (due to large size). Wide tyres, more road grip, but at the same time, more rolling resistance, resulting in drop of fuel efficiency.

Because its effected my fuel economy

Of course it will get affected due to wideness of tyres.

Engine might not get affected, but for sure, suspension will.

Then you should try to stick with this size, or the next which is very nearest to it, like 155/70/R14 or 165/65/R14 or 165/70/R14, but do not move beyond these sizes.

This Size is not available in Good Tyre Companies.. just available in Chinese and Pakistani General Brand.. which i think not a good option..

Actually I have purchased two tyres of Dunlop size 185-70-R14 which i have installed on Front wheel side.. what if i leave these tyres on Front side and purchased 165-65-R14 size and install on rear side..
Is this will make any difference?

Or is there any option.. where i can sell these tyres or replace with narrower size..
I have very little knowledge about Cars.

Yes not available in Good Brands..
But available in cheap quality.
