Tyres and rims recommendation for 2023 Alto VXL-AGS

I'm looking for tires that offer more grip that the factory fitted ones. This is my first car so my knowledge of types is pretty much zero. Also does it make sense to go from the factory fitted 12inch rims to 13inch ones? If so which rims are recommended and what will they cost?

Dear brother go with the factoy fitted tyres till they last. Just keep the air pressure right and you will be good to go. Why spend extra for the minimal benefit.
And also please do not think of changing the rim or tyre size . Alto already has sufficient ground clearance.

I changed tyres as soon as I got my car. I now do this as new tyres are much cheaper when you give in the brand new ones in exchange. After use buying new tyres is impossibly expensive. Secondly i was concerned about the stability and control issues with thin tyres so i switched to Continentals cc6. which are for 13" tyres so rim is the same but the profile is a bit larger and so is the thickness. 175/70 R13. I am happy with the tyres and they don't rub the fenders etc. My cars mileage is 25 km/l on avg with controlled foot and all driving conditions e.g. pick n drop, grocery runs and office runs etc.

Continentals tyres do have good reviews.

However larger tyres are for heavier cars. If you keep 30 psi in bigger tyre then weight of Alto is quite light for them and the average would have definitely increased. With rising fuel price every other month the carmakers are now recomending 35 psi pressure for stock tyres. If the roads are good in your area you can give 35 psi a try and inshaAllah will get 25 km/l on factory fitted ones.

I'm a bit confused....don't wider and larger tyres decrease the car's milage?

165/70R13 is an ideal upgrade for your Alto. If you drive with in limits factory tires are perfect too.

Sorry for late reply. Mileage might be effected a bit but for me the mileage is perfectly acceptable. Also i believe this little bit of trade off in safety vs fuel economy is worth it.

30 is still okay drive and check what suits your comfort level.

28 / 30 / 32

Size doesn't matter, (PSI is per square inch)
