Tyres Replacement for XE Indus 98

AOA,

Current tyre size is 175/70/13 DUNLOP Indonesian make and all 4 need to be replaced.

Rate is given by a tyre shop for same new tyres is 20,000/-

and old will be be sold in 6000/-

So 4 new tyres will cost 14000/-

Any suggestion about this deal plz??

I would suggest u to go for 185/65 R 14 best size for Indus

energy saver are one of the best tyres i have ever observed

stick to oem size for fuel economy max you can do is 185/85/R13 wider & higher profile in same size. Bridgestone or Yokohama almost identical in price
or Try Hankook (Yokohama & Chinese collaboration brand) at lower price

stock size is 165/80/13. i am using that on my xe without any issues.
the size you are quoting would raise the car alot from spec size

Old spare guy giving me 3 options to choose from qabli shocks.

1- XE original shocks (Rs. 2700) pair

2- XEG original shocks (Rs. 3100) pair

3- GLI indus original shocks (Rs. 3500) pair (Recommended by old spare guy, Reason: he said that GLI shocks are heavy and designed for heavy engine)

So what option will be suitable for my XE as em using 13" tyre.

If i wud go to install GLI shocks, wether it wud suitable in my XE having 13" tyre and EE100 1300CC engine ???

Please suggest me to choose better option from above.

NO.

Go for OEM replacement shocks. Don't buy these Qabli shocks. They will not last and your 3500 will be down the drain. First check from Company how much the new replacement part costs, please.

Now tyres have been changed, during tyres change over, i observed that tyre width seems less due to its size 165/80/13, and alloy rim width seems more, as the previous tyre size was 175/70/13, so width wise it was fit in the alloy rim...

Now can any 1 clarify that wether this wud compatible or it can create trouble in future?????

Rim will stretch the tyres as y have chosed wrong width this size can only be ok with steel wheels

Car will be a bit stiff as rubber wont have space to jump due to stretchness

Brother use KYB genuine shocks.

Use Michelin if u want to keep the car or NEXEN SH9i if on budget.

Can you please confirm this for xe /xeg 1300 corolla 1998? I have also been quoted 155/80r13, 175/80r13, 175/70r13 and 185/70r13 as stock

Most people shift to 185/70/13
