Hello. I want to know about tyres and which will be good for my car in terms of Comfort, Grip, Medium soft tyre and Less sound or soundless tyre.
Car Altis 1.6 2017Continental CC6Sumitomo Japanese TyreYokohoma (Recommend series also)Dunlop (Recommend series ECO,Venuro or Sporting)
Car is mostly City driven in karachi Clifton area
CC6 or UC6 from Continental. Or Dunlop Veuro. Both good value for money and would fit your requirement.
Yokohama blue earth ES 32 may cost you 13500/tyre or more due dollar scene. These are good gives comfortable drive and less road noise my cousing is using these tyre in his Altis 1.6 and I have drove almost 500 kms they are less noisy compare to stock even better than grande tyres.
pictures attached of both sporting and venuro. people said sporting is better than venuro
Yeah heard much about yokohoma tyres. Advan Db and Blu earth.
Some said it’s quite soft tyre so karachi roads are getting worst day by day. Nail chala jata tyre mai as compared to dunlop. Dunlop thora hard hai is mamly mai Baki In Yokohoma khadon ka pata nhi chalta
I’ve been using advan db for the past 2 years in karachi , only got one puncture in the back right tyre a year ago.
Lucky you, not the same for others. I faced many punctures, bubbles in the side walls, and leakages in my 35-40K km with the Advan dB. Depends on where you drive though. If only on good paved roads in Karachi, then nothing like them.
They are good but noisy at speeds.
They have given low profile for 1.6 because if someone speed and accidentally got his tyre burst low profile helps maintains balance very well. Bubble often caused in LP tyres when you hit pot hole while speeding or cat eye speed breaker like you see in Pakistan everywhere. My cousin have upgraded his tyre profile little thicker not much.
Any series of these which matches your budget requirements. The more is the "Gurr", the more is the "Meetha".
Prefer to go for all season or all weather tyres, or, summer tyres would also suffice if in Karachi.
If tight on budget, then:
In Continental, UC6 Series seems quite reasonable.
If tight on budget, then Sport Series LM704 or latest, Eco series, etc.
If want luxury and comfort, in level with Michelin, Pirelli, Continental, etc., then Veuro series, made in Japan, all the way!
In 1st pic, the pattern looks like LM704. I have these tyres in my current ride, so can guess the pattern.
In 2nd pic, the pattern looks like Veuro series, made in Japan.
And by looking at the packing, this seems non-smuggled one.
In 1st pic., I am a bit skeptical, and these look like smuggled ones. But check and confirm before buying any, and prefer to go for non-smuggled ones.
You are in Karachi; you must not have any issues in buying non-smuggled, genuine import tyres, with warranty and in reasonable price, and fresh, 2020 made.
NOPE. Veuro series is much better than LM704 Sports series.
Veuro series comes in luxury category; LM704 Sports series comes in budget category.
Dear, were the tyres smuggled or non-smuggled ones?
Dear it all depends on the luck!
No passenger car tyre is puncture proof, as far as I know.
Bought straight from Sheikh Brothers. Tried to claim warranty on one with a bubble as well but they said it was external damage. I didn't argue since it could have been that, my driver may have been driving when the damage occured.
Bro if it was under warranty then it's their responsibility to change the tyre when bubbles appear in sidewall. I think bubble in tyre and steel belt coming out from tread sis the only things comes under warranty nothing else is claimable.
They say the warranty claim is for manufacturing defects, not external damage. They check through x-rays for such claims, they said Don't know if that is true. Bubble caused by car going fast through a pot hole or those reflectors are not covered.
