UAE Registered Vehicals

Dear Friends,

I have seen many cars specially SUV's with UAE ( Dubai, Qattar, Oman ...etc) Number plates...... Can any one tell me hw ppl use these cars in Pakistan

n I heard that if some of ur relative is in UAE he can send U a car to Use, bt U can not sell that n U have to return the car to the country of its registration if U want to sell...

anyways if any1 know anything about this plz update all of the pakwheelers.

What i know is that those number plates are illegal...

These vehicles are brought by sheikh zayad bin nayan of abudhabi,n his family.he owns nearly the whole desert of cholistan.which he uses 4 hunting deer n telour(dnt know the english name).his got the area 4 99 years lease.hes developed da area beyond imagination.even rd signs on a rd made by him in the desert has road signs in arabic.must see place.he has his own police patrols!

but I have seen plates of dubai as well, Sheikh zayed would use abu dhabi plates i suppose. But I once saw a land cruiser standing in front on Mcdonalds Nazimabad with Dubai number plate, Are they really illegal?

^ pppl can bring there cars from here ...to pak and dont..take off the plate ..for fun

dear there is two things,

Any one can import car from their residence country for the period of 6 month for selfuse and required to reexport after expiry of date or otherwise they have to pay duty.

Second one embassies are allowed to import and retain their own country plates with same condition for six month but if they want not to reexport then they will issue CC / CD plates with embassy number.

There was once a Sheme in Uae that if you have 3 years or older license on UAE then You can send cars to Pakistan for a less cost

We sent 3 Hiace vans to Lahore

Well Next time i see a land cruiser with a dubai plate, I intend to break its windscreen and run. Anybody got a jugar in police???..so that I can come out of it clean, if they catch me.

@Dr Hassan that kind of import was allowed but years ago, 100% agree with zunny and abq_honda cvanesk where are you yar please share something about Sheikh i ve also heard lot about him owning cholistan just to hunt tilour

yeah ppl having dubai no. plates can b seen here more often but specially when some desert thingy is going on

As my father told that you can drive your imported car with the number plate of that country from which country you import by paying bank guarantee(refundable) which is nearly to the custom duty. When you return back from Pakistan you have to take your car with you.
