Ufone - Worst cellphone operator ever

unfortunately there are no special services for handicapped or elderly citizen's, you should complain with regard to this that they should have separate SOP for such consumers.

Pakistanis generally suck at giving good services or courtesy to the customers, its in our DNA to treat people like sheep's in Pakistan. Only few behave nicely with others, all this being "Muslim" thing is just crap since the state of country shows us daily what we are.

As correctly put by qwertypiou , you should have get the sim activated yourself as it was you who knew the condition of your father and not the operator on phone. This procedure has been implemented by government to check the issue of sims to terrorist. Recently mobilink has been fined for activating sims without proper verification so all the companies are following strict procedures for verification. In your case the operator would have suspected a fake attempt for activating sim and didn't allowed due to their sop. I agree on your point regarding help for special cases, these should be implemented but I think Pakistan is in evolutionary stage for that. So I can understand your frustration but you should have understood the ground situation in Pakistan and got the sim activated by you or should have got the sim in your name.

The SIM was delivered at my doorstep and a copy of CNIC was collected verifying the address and rest of the details. I understand the government's procedure and no where does it say that i cannot dictate my father the CNIC number while he himself conveys that information to the operator.

If my father can read a piece of paper himself it is ok and if i help him read its not OK? If someone wants to activate a SIM with fake data he would most probably read the CNIC number fluently. Telecommunication companies violate many of PTA codes quite regularly while this is not one of PTA's code.

At the time of blocking of lost SIM and ordering new one, my father took help reading the CNIC and that operator did not complain. The second operator made it an issue may be because he did not feel like activating the SIM because of his personal reasons. If two operators from the same service providers are handling a similar situation entirely differently means one of them is in breach of sops. If you can show me that its written somewhere that senior citizens or citizens with some kind of disability cannot read their CNIC number slowly with help from a caretaker then i would take my complain back.

Ever wondered why the ATM machines have little headphone jacks ? Its because everything on the screen can also be heard by people who have trouble reading. All machines have it, even the ones used by local banks. No service provider can refuse to provide service to a person bearing any sort of disability. Many banks/Atms in karachi now have ramps for people on wheel chairs just to serve people with special needs.

Some might argue that a disabled person should not go to the ATM himself or should just close his account and open one in somebody else's name. It is exactly the kind of inhuman thinking that is common among Pakistanis.

i think that guy was just following the procedure,all those calls are recorded so it could have caused trouble for him as well
you could have simply talked to that guy yourself n tell the details as your father
when i had sim on my father's name,i used to call n talk to them as my father telling his name n nic etc,obviously they cant judge if u r the same guy or not

As per my experience, Ufone is worst when it comes to coverage. They are second oldest GSM operator and still less coverage than other operators.

Ufone is the biggest thief I ever ever ever encountered ever ...

1 . Their gimmick to sent you flash messeges ,
Onec u click ok by mistake , bas roz ke paisay katna shru they subscribe u to it .

1. When u buy an sms package , or let say a data package , for one particular day ,
   They automatically subscribe u to it , aur roz paisay katna shru .

MNP karanay jao tuo inkay dramay hi khatam nahi hotay ..
I will port out from ufone ,
As soon as I can ... Sick and tired of them and their silly gimmicks and theft activities ...

Helpline pe call karo , so they say , we do not have data which services u r subscribed to that is draining your balance ...

I tell them to FKin shut off every subscription that is draining my balance , and they say oh u have to do it individually dialing codes of subscriptions you have ..

And they don't have data which services I m subscribed too , niether I am aware ,

As a result 10-15 Rs daily goes in gutter everyday ...

Never ever ever ever get ufone for your halal ki kamayee .

and ZONG is 4th class and the worst.....I had to get roaming activated as i was going to china and i thought it wud be best to take my zong sim....the zong wale asked for a copy of my visa to china :)....i called helpline on my mobilink sim and they activated roaming in 4 hours.......no visa copy asked

Ufone is terrible. I'm using it now, but am really considering joining Mobilink.
