Ufone - Worst cellphone operator ever

Ufone Sucks. I want to convert to Telenor (Norway FTW). But my sim is in my uncles name and I have to bring him with me to transfer it into my name... urrgh. And Uncle doesn't talk to us really... so I have to stick with Ulooteras.

I have just finished up launching a formal complaint with PTA about the issue i just had with UFONE call center. So we all know that SIMS are now to be delivered at your doorstep. I just went through the agony of ordering one and dealing with a bunch of VERY VERY Stupid call center operators.

My father is a 70 years old man and health wise he has seen better days. He stays ill mostly and has trouble remembering stuff. Few days ago he lost his cellphone and i could not find the time to block the SIM so today my wife decided to do it for him and order a new sim too. She blocked the SIM and ordered a new one which was delivered against 200 rupees and CNIC copy. While activating the SIM my wife was helping my father read the ID card number (since he is not so good at reading and he even has trouble remember our address & Phone number). The operator started interrogating like a SHO and warned my father that the SIM cannot be activated unless you yourself read the whole CNIC number and answer all kinds trick questions. So i got a little pissed seeing my old man so confused, i took the phone from him told the operator that my father has issues reading stuff and advised him to use a little common sense. I told him that you have just collected the ID CARD copy and have been told all the info and so what if someone was helping him read!.

Anyways he got a little lame so i asked him to let me speak to his supervisor who was i guess as stupid as he was. He ended up saying that our policies are not "designed" for old people or people with any type of "disability". as per his opinion people who need a little help from others (specially old people) have no right to use the precious UFONE service.

Anyone ordering a UFONE SIM should be off sound health with 100% vision and ability to quickly read large numbers and remember them. He should also be ready to quickly reply to more questions than required at immigration or activating your credit card.

I asked him to please disable my sim permanently as i am no longer interested in being a UFONE customer. I was never happy because they kept sending my father these UFONE OFFERS SMS day & night. I requested them several time top stop sending but i guess its also their policy to annoy people.

if i would you and my father wanted a sim, i would have given my id, and i myself have spoken rather than my father. you can just blame the company if its our fault or disabililty. for example. if someone wants to drive BMW but he has only 1 leg that does not mean "BMW" is the culprit. so try to relax brother. i dont see any reason for this hype.

Every cellphone operator is sh(i)t nowadays. They have several different ways to make money, like I usually subscribe a package which lasts 48 hours, Mobilink Jazz. They deduct 22 rs and award 120 on-net minutes.

Last week, I was traveling, I knew I would be making several calls so I subscribed. They deducted the balance and replied that minutes have been posted to my account. I started making calls, the next day I checked my balance and over 285 Rs were gone!

I called them and filed a complaint, they said its a "SYSTEM FAULT" and ham maaz'rat khwa hain and bla bla bla. After two days they returned 22 Rs to my account, 18 of which I had already spent while calling their bull crap customer service (111).

Imagine if they do this to a thousand numbers everyday and probably a hundred people lose their account balance like me, how much money they would be making EXTRA just by a little glitch?

yup no doubt. but personally i never come across single operator who does not talk with sense. unless i start abusing they will never abuse / misbehave. we take these for granted. woh kisi kay aba g kay mulazim nai hain. kama kar kha rahay hain. so we should be respectful to these guyz as well.

According to your SHO behavior. i strongly say, there work is to validate info. and they are doing it. so its not galat sahi. if u give respect, they will respect u in return.

about these bitc**Y complains that they are not good and misbehave. then we should look at ourselves. again they work and they earn, we have no right to be stupid and hard with these persons.

Do you work at a call centre with a cellphone operator? If yes... my sympathies.

Try calling a bank's helpline for activation of credit/debit card or phone banking. That's where the real sensitivity of information lies and they are mostly very very reasonable. I regularly assist my parents regarding banking issues while they are on the phone with the operator, i dictate them stuff like thier account numbers or whatever they have trouble reading. Never had a problem...

These 50 rupa ki sim walay businesses, they treat thier customers like sh$t.

Try calling a bank's helpline for activation of credit/debit card or phone banking. That's where the real sensitivity of information lies and they are mostly very very reasonable. I regularly assist my parents regarding banking issues while they are on the phone with the operator, i dictate them stuff like thier account numbers or whatever they have trouble reading. Never had a problem...

I would love to say yes but i am a software engineer for ur kind information. And u after buying 50 rps sim think u own all the company and callers. So just relax. No need to be HYPER that u r wrong. Leran to respect others and u will get in return same.

lolz i know you said its a dig. the way you are frustrated here over your own problem reflects how much the cell phone person would have teased / disturbed you. i am not bother about the issue of yours as that is too useless. but the thinking that putting your own anger over someone else and getting sympthy over here for no reason.

regarding idea or not dude, lets just not put this into between us. i know my limit and never ever 1 person for these customer care person misbehaved with me. even i have shouted at them because once they call at night around 2 pm for a promotional offer. but salute to the person, he remained calm. so IMO, you are trying to be SHO, not the person on the phone.
