Undercoating - Rubberized?

I noticed a few small rust spots around the area encompassing wheel and suspension etc. They don't look like they've penetrated the metal too much and look more like on the surface. Would Rubberized undercoating as the one from 3M recommended for the car's undercarriage? Or there would be a better option especially in terms of undercoating material.

Also who would be a good / reliable option to take the car in for applying the coat and degreasing work in Karachi.

i have seen some vides on youtube. according to these videos, the rubberized coatings destroys the car under side.

please make sure to watch these before deciding.

better option will be marine grade antirust paint.

Why not go for a rust converter spray? Any negatives of that?

its acid. it will eat up the good paint too. should be used very carefully. not spray. only brush

If you use the rubber spray coat, you should never let any sort of oil or petroleum contact it (like service station) - It will soften and bubble it off.

Any issues with wax based undercoating?

if you spray your car with oil or diesel fuel underneath, no coating whether rubber or wax based will survive.

Yes off course, I don't intend to. I meant Rubberized undercoating have some issues around ending up letting some moisture go through it and worsening the rusting situation, wouldn't wax based coating be better in that regard?

Yes - wax coating is very good in protection, the rubber undercoat sold in spray cans are for repairing the broken off factory undercoat only. Dont cover the whole underbody with it.

use a spray wax coat under it just like the factory did.

Any good wax undercoat brands available in Pakistan or would need to get it imported from US etc?

Body cavity wax coat is available in Pakistan, go to a proper autobody paint supply store and ask for “neechay wali jenyan isspray” when asked for kalar

Tell them peela wala.

Unfortunately you will have to use these weird namings as the people running such business have no clue what they actually sell.

OK, I could do that but it's also possible for me to get fluid film aerosol spray cans from the US. Do you think that would be worth it or the ones available in Pakistan would be good enough?

Fluidfilm and nuxodol is sold in Pakistan already and so is 3M

When I was in Karachi, the 2 places I bought these were the paint selling shop in plaza (preedy station) or in dha (next to the old mitsi dealer shop)
