Understanding auto trany buttons

Hi, I recently got a lj78 auto , i used to drive jero manual first gen.. so this auto is new to me. .I wanted to understand a couple of things regarding auto trany..

As its circled in the pic one red button and Over Drive written next to it.. Also a button on the grip mentioning the same.

I wanted to know whats this red button do?

The red button circled shift/lever lock button
Due to any unforeseen reason if you are unable to start you engine press this and you can get your car out of P
Second button is over drive,with over drive on your car will not shift into its top gear thus will give you more power at high speed if required,switching it off will shift into highest 3rd gear and it’ll be smooth and fuel efficient
