Understanding Car Paint Terms For DIY

Assalam-O-Alaikum

I need to understand the following terms in Urdu just to buy things from shops regarding Paintwork for a DIY project.

How do we pronounce that in Urdu? and a little bit explanation to understand those will also be good, please

1)Putty Vs Lappi
2) Polegate vs Putty Vs Lappi
3) Paint Leveler vs Paint Thinner
4) Primer
5) Clear Coat

I am seeing many videos on youtube about removing scratches and they use terms like Putty, Leveler etc but I don't know how to buy this stuff from local paint shops because they don't know those things by English name.

Also which is the good place to buy paint and other stuff for car in karachi

Putty/polygate/body filler. They are the same thing for filling small dents aur un even surface. Lappi is kind of smooth filler whivh os only used to fill small pinholes etc

Primer is a coatting which you apply on bare metal surface or on the surface where lappi and polygate has been used. It is madatory because if you skip this step you might have rist issue sooner

Ther are two types of paint. One solid colour and one metallic colour (this is two stage system). In solid colors the shining itself is on the paint. On the other hand metallic paints are two stage system. First stage is the actual colour. When you you will apply the colour it will turn into matt finish so you have to apply clear cpat to get the glossy finish. Also clear coat makes the colour life longer
