If its equally good as a mehran makes less trips to the mechanic it's worth it.
The dollar has shooted up from 112 to 124 since the expected launch and now. That means even if it costs $6000 at least a 75k price difference.
So I still feel price is okay.
But for now since being a filer is mandatory suzuki mehran is struggling to move out of showrooms. They are selling upto 50k under invoice when WagonR has a 30k premium for ready delivery.
So I'm still not sure if target market is mehran, mehran isnt selling. Non filers can't buy this car. Companies giving cars to employees in 800cc bracket will take time to adopt it as a official car.
After sales service etc doesnt seems to be a problem nor will United motors simply pack up like cherry, Chevrolet etc they have made good money from bikes they will take some beatings and probably establish the product. Just like FAW v2 sold at subsidized pricing on the till of faw truck sales.
For now only one dealership in Lahore has been identified dont know about other cities.
Maybe it wont be commercially available for a month or two.
