sab cheezen apni jagha but lets not forget that our 'Boss' aka 'Mehran' has passed test of times (30 years) in our country. aaj bhi Karachi se peshawar le jao road per isay without any second thought. yes its seriously feature-stripped car with worst ride quality but other factors are very strong - which are reliability, servicing, maintenance, part prices, rugged, tough. i once used to be a fan of v2 but seriously i doubt built quality of chinese cars - for parts, lets ask those people who bought Geely, Proton, Cherry, Chevy, Kia Classic, Spectra considering full feature cars. i have no doubt in these cars but what happened - companies wrapped up, no service, no spares, no backup. its very important esp for Paki low income people who consider cars as assets which sell quickly without much loss. but i hope Bravo will be good and cater well in this market segment,

There is no local production as of now and United will first sell CBU to see how Bravo is received in the market. In other words is it worth investing in the BRAVO.

well, I dont want to disappoint anyone and I would like any other want to give sometime to United but the launch product on display were CBU. By CBU we all agree that It will have a much much better fit and finish , materials and quality of built. BUT it was completely other way on the launch. IF CBU has a questionable quality then I dont know how much better can be a local assembly.

Bravo is a re-branded DH350S from a small Chinese firm who sells cheap electric cars. Like many other Chinese products and commodities, you can re brand any product of choice and place an order and same is the situation with Bravo. Dahe is not any well known brand even in China. As I mentioned earlier also, why Mehran is benchmark. Bravo should have made its own name. Mehran is near end of its life cycle soon and BRAVO will have no competition. BRAVO is just another Mehan with a different face and name.

The FOB of DH350s is $4000 with minimum order of 4 units and its negotiable on larger order..

In last 40 years Pakistani Govt policy is to protect the companies that setup the assembly shop locally, same is the case with automotive policy 2016-2021 as well, this protected market has allowed few companies to find their respective niches where they don't face competition and have the virtual license to print money.

When you allow someone to abuse and exploit yourself, then we shouldn't act surprised if they do the good job of it, so that is the answer to why did United Motors has taken the 30 years old vehicle as benchmark and brought one of least known and lowest quality product to compete with it, because that's the par for this particular course.

All of this is because of our governments poor policies
The taxes charged are 50% of the retail price we pay and the reason or thinking behind that is the government wants automakers to produce the cars in the country completely which is not technically and economically feasible. We lack the expertise and technology for it.
The mafia that is the local automakers and parts manufacturers do not allow the government to change their policies. We must protest and ask our lawmakers to change these policies
If you guys have a look at the auto policy practiced in other countries like the gulf region, they are better suited to locally manufacture cars but still they allowed free import without taxes cause it helps people move and that helps the economy

Look at the features and body.
People buying mehran at 8.4 lakh but expecting bravo to be sold under 7 lakh wao.

First of all I am the biggest critic of mehran and their supporters, but leaving that aside, this bravo fella is a good product no denying that, but man it's not comparable to mehran in any way, mehran is sold at an exorbitant price just to allow Suzuki to skim our money, it's 96% localized and the brainstorming freaks calling dollar hike as a justification for mehrans 8.5 lac cost should get their IQ tested, mehran should have been a 4 lacs product at best, last it was selling in India till 2012 and it was generations ahead of what we drive as a car here,
United on the other hand claimed it to be cheaper because they are enjoying incentives coz they are a new comer and auto policy gifts them slashed duties, still they went till the end here, because it's funny that Suzuki would be soon launching Alto with 10 lacs price and with bravo around 6.5-7 lacs, people won't go for Alto as much, but if u force them to buy a car at 8.5 then they will go like hey it's a just a couple of lacs for a Japanese brand let's get an Alto, u see win-win for Suzuki and United , until Suzuki launched Alto untied bravo will be sold even if they lack in many departments, they would soon be a known brand, because in the absence of mehran u don't have any other options so if the supply becomes an issue then go for JDMs, heck it happened again, no option for us to choose from, so nothing has changed, mehran has been replaced by Bravo, u like it or not, u can only buy bravo or buy a used car... We got played again, rip United, conspiracy right from the beginning, won't buy it now

Spectra, classic and protons were not Chinese, classic and Spectra was Korean, and protons is Malaysian, the reason they failed is because they invested half heartedly, they didn't plan to assemble it here, so they left when they thought right, they knew there is a risk and if they don't start earning right away then they can pack easily,

Also not a lot of cars fail like u said mehran passed the time test, they are cars not disposable electronics so they are made in such a way that they last, it's not mehran legacy that they can spend 10 years, a Pakistani Corolla can spend 3 years flat without any service or oil change before it starts to annoy u because of it's catalytic converter, toyota boldly claims that 90% Corolla ever produced are still on the roads
that's reliability, mehran can't even pass 3 months without servicing,

People should make informed decisions, they can be relaxed knowing United is a strong company but, the product cost and the policy they played left us stranded with only one option, so I seriously condemn this new venture, and I won't buy what I am forced to..

Pretty reasonable price considering the features. At the same price we are getting Dabba Mehran.
However United should launch a version without Power steering, alloys and back camera at around 750k as it will attract alot of customers who have small budget. They can also buy it for Careem/Uber.

A month ago they did removed non filer option from the list even for 1000 as i was looking into Wagon R. It seems the pressure from the automotive sector might have made the government reverse this decision quietly.

Production cost of shity mehran is less than 4 lac.
United targeted mehran in their marketing.
Now united bravo costs 8.5 lac is completely unacceptable as it is local or Chinese car.
Still I will buy bravo after quality checking because it's better than mehran.
In short big 3 mafia is working good for united bravo.
As Pakistani businessman we will never ever ever think of a good deed in Pakistan and we always try to leech on nation, just as united bravo did by launching an expensive car than mehran.

Punjab excise dept issued a letter stating non filers can buy motor cycles and cars upto 1000cc but the notification was taken back.

So their is no such thing as a non filer buying a car. For now only commercial cars i.e (RAVI / Pickups can be bought by non filers) Other cars cannot be bought.

PS : have to check even if non filers can buy or not.
