I have just checked, and as of today (11-09-2018), none of the car assemblers is giving cars to non-filers, irrespective of engine cc. Just for reference: https://www.paksuzuki.com.pk/SuzukiProducts/AllPrices/1

Only Filers have been referred to; for paying advance income tax. There is no mentioning of Non-Filers, and the same goes for others (Honda, FAW, etc.).

Cargo Van, Bolan, Ravi Pickup, FAW XPV are also being given to Filers only (however, there is no mentioning of advance income tax with FAW Carrier, which is a bit strange).

It has been clearly mentioned that:

NOTE: As per new government policies, only filer purchaser(s) will able to buy locally assembled and imported vehicle(s).

CBU k agar ye hala'at hain, especially wo unit, which was on display (jo k subsay zyada achi halat mein hona chaheye! if Marketing guys know, what Marketing is?), then baqi imported CBUs ka kya banay ga?

And Locally assembled Bravo will be a big Question Mark regarding quality and reliability!

Talakh haqaik byaan karein to fitway aanay shuru ho jatay hain k aap log small local industries / assemblers ko flourish hotay huay nai daikhna chahtay, and are supporters / fans of Big 03!

I have just learnt that Pakistan ki China k sath Tax Free / Minimum Taxes p trade hoti hai (Correct me if I am wrong). If this is true and unit price of Bravo is USD ~4000 in China (I read somewhere here on Pakwheels), then why are we paying 850,000 PKR???

Similarly, agar tax hi ki baat ki jaye, then kya China sey, achay brands ki achi garian yahan nai aa sakti??? If there are no taxes or minimum taxes? They will be much much better, affordable and reliable as compared to these.

We now have a choice to get more features in same price of Mehran. I guess its market will grow in near future.

I have seen so many FAW V2 on the roads of Karachi and their number is increasing day by day. I asked some of the owners regarding the performance of V2 and they all were satisfied and happy. I inquired about them about the resale value and one of them said .... "kya zaroorat hay sale karni ki, banda us waqt car sale karta hay jab woh problem dey rahi ho" .... I was astonished to hear his reply ..... Baat bari achi kari banday nay

Imported cars are exempted from with holding tax. But now the new policy is that if you are not a filer you cannot register a car on your name.

Even Ciaz, Vitara, apv, avanza all imported cars are exempted from wh tax

Thanks. I was referring to leasing as it turns out that you can still get a car on lease from bank even if you are a non filer. Infact this is even mentioned on Pak Suzuki finance webpage

But what you are saying is also correct but that is meant for people buying cars on cash. Bank has a way around it by means of leasing.

Well... What I think is; used JDMs / CBUs / Imported Cars (New / Used) are not exempted from With holding Tax in any way. Just ye farak hai k locally assembled vehicles k case mein aapko With holding Tax directly assembler ko daina parta hai, however, in case of CBUs, woi tax aapko directly E&T department ko daina parta hai, at the time of registration of vehicle.

I still remember, when I had bought FAW V2 last year, I did not pay any With holding Tax to Al Haj FAW Islamabad Motors, since it was a CBU, however at the time of registration, I paid Rs. 25,000/= to E&T Islamabad directly. Now FAW directly charges Rs. 25,000/= as With holding Tax, since local production has started and FAW V2 is not a CBU any more.

So, tax ki ma'afi kahein b nai hai, just tareeqa change ho jata hai.
One is bound to pay it, one way or the other.

You are Welcome. Yes bank leasing k case mein, may be, tareeqa thora different ho, since car is registered in the name of the bank as first owner, and all the banks pay taxes (in fact lots of taxes and are registered with many Govt. Departments). So bank is the first owner (tax payer) and you will become second owner upon transfer of vehicle. And second owners k liay Filer / Non-Filer ki koi pabandi nai hai.

wow! So Bravo turns out to be another bust. I mean seriously? But than again we also saw what happened with Honda Civic when it was launched. Although the difference was that Civic was being assembled locally while this is a CBU.
United's quality has always been questionable specially when it comes to their bikes (Personal experience as i still ride one) cant say if they are going to follow the same standards in cars as well after all the management must be the same.

Bank buys it on your name XYZ HPA BANK XYZ, So for the initial purchase you have to be a filer, OR else bank cannot lease/Finance it for you.

On the paksuzuki finance page their is a diff option for non filers lease. So non fiers can lease the car the owner would be the bank. But after the lease period is over i think one has to at the end become a diler so that after the lease period he can become the owner.
