Well this has nothing to do with the actual point, proton was an expensive project for Malaysian govt and they failed to achieve what they set out to achieve, now it's bought by geely who will use the name to venture in southeast and south Asia and with that capital might they may turn it around.

sales argument?? ok what else would make you comfortable to agree with the fact that Malaysian national car was a success due to public's attitude towards their national car, you're quoting corolla being the best car in the world??? corolla aint our car, and its out of context
and your second argument lacks material and logic, its bought by geely not because they failed, i told you their sales figures, i can go on and on and will show you how much success they got, so dont misquote and present false logic here.

Imma respectfully word the whole argument here, idk what you high on though.

Proton wasn't the most ideal project by Malaysian govt, they entered auto industry when it was already developed and unlike India and China, they didn't have a huge domestic market to sustain it. The cars weren't bad but world just didn't need them when they had more established players and their domestic market failed to provide the capital for heavy investments outside the country, when they entered Pakistan they had a small partner cos they couldn't afford big investments. To dumb it down more, it's like asking Pak electron to go and compete with Haier on international stage, they just can't do it despite the fact that Haier is shit. Now that they've geely's capital might behind them they may be able to have a turnaround, geely has done impressive stuff with Volvo.

In short, a paki automaker isn't sustainable as well the same way proton wasn't sustainable for Malaysian govt. One doesn't need to be a noble laureate to understand it.

Bro sale figures in a single country don't mean success, a modern automaker has to invest heavily to keep up with others and as I said Malaysia failed to sustain it. The r&d expenditures end up outweighing a lot of stuff

first of all, where have I ever argued about their international performance let alone them coming in pakistan???? do you even read before you reply???
read my original comment to your own fellow, I argued that adam revo was failed because shaukat aziz and the government back then didnt support their own national product, I specifically argued that proton was founded on the idea to create a national car and they supported it so much that the company was headed by the their prime minister Dr Mahathir bin Mohamad
Now my argument wins because they went on to produce that car, the car was well received by their own people, in 1989 the sales were limited by the fact that they couldnt produce them as much, the car saga still is selling more than 3000 units per month and its the most successful national car since 1989, and on the other hand we choose mehran ahead of adam revo back then in 2004 which was cheaper and better in terms of quality than mehran, is it so difficult for you PW people to digest???
are you on high let me ask you i never mentioned their international performance even when i can present proofs of them actually getting good sales,

I mentioned intl performance to show you why it failed.

What I'm trying to say our market isn't big in size like China & India, Malaysia failed with their small market despite it being a success in Malaysia itself.
It definitely got good sales within Malaysia but it wasn't enough, same will be the case for a paki auto maker, idk how difficult it's to get a fuckin point accross you. If you have no problem with a venture running in loss with good sales within the country than go ahead bro, as if Pia etc ain't enough for us.

Adam Revo had no quality tho, if you've seen it you should know.

there are number of reasons i can point out why it was posting losses nowadays but failed all the way??? thats not true man, there is deadlock you need to backaway, u cant twist this, now you are quoting example of PIA, would you want to tear apart the PIA history i dont think so, ADAM REVO was not governments property why people like love to escape through backdoors when you feel like there is no way to go???
