Today I was working on Central Locking system in my car and saw 2 couplers hanging which i feel sometime while driving . These are the wires going out to firewall. I was curious to know where they belongs so I found a devive at left of steering column but dont know what it is . I want to know what it is And why would anyone do this for?

Its lambda based CNG kit controller.
Should I connect these wires again ? Or they are on purpose.
Let them disconnected if you use petrol only.
