According to my information the Expected date for 12th generation Corolla is End 2021 or Early 2022
The only Reason for delay is the TNGA platform which required heavy investment and as a result Price of next generation Corolla increased by 4 to 5 lacs which is not viable

The way the economics are 12 gen Corolla and Civic 11 gen would touch 5 million mark, I was speaking to a manager at dealership the other day about why the prices aren’t going down as the dollar is below 160 he said sir we were told by Atlas that the price of current civic is based on $rate of 150pkr and there are every chances that prices will be revised again by dec end or jan, As for the bookings Nov and dec are generally slow months for car sales as people prefer jan deliveries so dealerships hold the car on their own and sale them at the yr start with higher premiums as own on cars are all time high in January and feb it’s all a big game which we unintentionally support by going after cars no matter how unfairly they are priced at.....

There is no information in this interview about 12th Generation Corolla. However, bookings for present generation Altis 1.6 and 1.8 with minor changes will be resumed in January 2021. It means no signs of 12th Gen Corolla any time soon. I don't see 12th generation launch in Pakistan in 2021.

Saying "sir. sir" on every answer, not following up with any counter arguments, calling genuine consumer grievances(that he himself also talks about) as "kuch log kehtay hain", not asking when IMC plans to drop prices now that dollar has depreciated almost 9-10 rupees, pathetic. what was the point of this interview?

Also, there seems to be some sort of media push by IMC. There have been multiple articles and news stories published by a number of outlets in the past week or so, drumming up hype for the corolla cross and heaping praise on IMC for how well it is doing. This interview seems to be part of that campaign.

I think CEO need a new chair as he doesn't seems comfortable in it. He had same issue when he was on live TV on a HUm news show. Additionally I dont see a purpose of this mask on his face. Either put it on properly or remove it altogether. Personally he dont impress me at all as CEO, his body language and whatever, he is not presentable at all.

Lastly, his comments and responses does not make sense. The parts suppliers already are fed up with local PKDM assemblers. They keep on saying localization but reality is diffrent. He talks of investment and even said, bumper change cost billions ..well.. I understand return of investment but then they have been making billions every year..

Yes. What were the figures? 0.5 jobs at the plant, 3-4 jobs per car for logistics??? How are they transporting the cars? On people’s shoulders? And then the 4 poor souls just perish and they hire new 4 guys for the next car?

Plus even if his figures are true then most jobs would still exist even if we import cars. Dealerships will exist, repair and maintenance jobs will exist, logistics jobs and so on.
