Road is motorable for cars with good clearance. Not in good condition and narrow so people block from opposite sides which is the major nuisance. Tourists inflow has gone down significantly after Eid chaos. Most of the vehicles I saw are cars and not 4x4.
Keep normal load and 4 hours you'll be fine. We hired Fielder but one friend with family took Corolla from Karachi, and back to Karachi yesterday safely. Another friend and his brother took Corolla and City from Faisalabad and were fine.
Don't go if car is low clearance.
